Re: is 85 spree is moped type in CA?
More than likely you should have a title and current dmv tags on a licence plate. I have been pulled over several times for no current tags and havnt had it towed yet. Just get insurance on it and the cops will be impressed you have insurance on it and will be nice. Unless you were speeding, but tha...

Re: oil tank fuel tank question
People like to think that the oil injection system is just waiting to fail, but it has proven to be very reliable. No reason to ditch the system on a stock system.

i think the common fix is to tap out to a bigger size. I have heard of people using longer bolts and putting nuts on the backside

Re: Starting a 1984 spree rebuild
First thing I do is replace the fuel lines and put an online filter in. Even if they look fine. Small pieces of rubber play * on trying to keep your carb clean

Re: NEED SOME HELP!!!!!!!!! (86 Spree - no start)
My guess would be the coil. Flywheel is lined up properly? Exhaust doesn't have any kind of blockage? Not getting way too much fuel?

Re: how much speed could a stock spree handle
Somehow I still see that happening on the stock motor. Even with an added "power source" unless its a jet pack. But I don't think there are gears made that will even allow for that fast

Re: what piston should I get?
no you dont necessarily need anything but the bore kit but to take advantage of hte extra power it produces you need the intake and gears but not necessary. chopchop123 on ebay has the 44mm kit for around 100 just checked he only has the 48mm and the 41mm (stock) right now. if your cylinder isnt in...

Re: Elite 80 worth it ?
Oh, lol. I feel dumb now. That would be a * of a lot of miles. 4 strokes can go longer without work, though. There was a guy going cross country on his ruckus. Just harder when stuff breaks.

Re: Elite 80 worth it ?
thats sure a lot of miles. Somebody drove the crap out of it. Just make sure the frame isn't rusted up. The gas tank isn't rusted out, the coolant isn't rusted up. Id do a compression check on it
