So after 100 miles I can open up the throttle full blast? I was told by VT to run it in at least 400 miles and the instructions on the polini cylinder said about 500kms which translates to about 350-400 miles I think. then that is what I would go with. They hace been doing two stroke for over 15 ye...

plus you should let it break in to seat the rings and let the piston comform to the bore. i think you were pushing it wee bit.

There were malossi gears but they are hard to impossible to get. You can use the dio gears but will habvge to cut the smaller of the front gears but it can be done.

that would be recommended. They have been doing this a long time although where you live abnd where VT lives the density in air might make a slight difference on the jetting.

gorgot to add that this was told to me by the track record holder in hawaii for mopeds in a discussion over the net about tuning the carb and it made sense although I use to start from main first and work my way down. It worked out better his way and his reason makes perfect sense.

I have heard about nos into a honda with a CVT transmission. It was not recomended. The reason is if you do have a cvt, once the engine starts reving and it is engaged there is no way by transmission to stop.

after you get the idle and main at WOT you adjust the needle if necessary. This is from what I have learned and practiced on my stroker hondas.

I would do a chop at 1/4 throttle first, then 1/4 to 3/4 and then wot, set your idle jet first,then make sure your safe in the midrange,this should get you enough so that you can do your breakin, then after breakin check your wot chop,go back and adjust your needle if needed,and remember that even ...

If the pipes were made based on the same specs the second pipe with the double taper will have a better low end but lose top end power compared to the single taper pipe.
