Re: muff cleanin
Any person in their right mind knows that. i know that when i was like 11. lol Kinda like if you mix drain-o and tinfoil, and put it in a 2- liter. it'll blow up. lol I knew a guy who did that in a folger's coffee can and it blew the lid right into his face, he had a ring imprinted where the edge o...

Re: Shopping Spree (a long, not very entertaining story)
Greetings: Pics please! In no particular order: Spreeders Cleaned-up Spree before and after 24 year-old Spousal Unit.   I saw another Spreeder today. Maybe the biggest one yet. I didn't get a pic though. Next time I see one I'll bust out my phone. Unfortunately I failed to take pict...

New Workspace
Cleaned out the stuff from the screen printing business I used to run out of my house today. So I had my workbench all naked and useless. I moved it out in the garage and set up a scooter shop, backed my Aero and the new Spree right into the little nook there. I brought a radio out, hooked up my iPh...

Re: muff cleanin
freshman year one of the cleaning ladies in my dorm hit a pretty bad stain and decided to mix up a super powerful cleaning solution: bleach and ammonia. She basically made mustard gas in an enclosed bathroom, passed out immediately and set the alarms. I watched firemen dressed in haz-mat gear, full ...

Shopping Spree (a long, not very entertaining story)
Just a story about trying to find a new scoot. It's long because I'm excited. It's not that interesting, so feel free to skip to the end. Nothing blows up, explodes, no one dies or falls out of a truck, my uncle doesn't almost run me over on a lawn-mower and the police aren't involved. If you're loo...

Re: in need of a cheap, yet effective motor swap!! ('86 Spree)
Fastest way to make a spree do 80 is to put it in the back of a truck. there needs to be a way to mark posts as your favorite, so you can go back and reread them later. to OP, I guess you got the feeling that people aren't very supportive of your idea. I have to say I'm not either, it sounds like a...

Re: muff cleanin
I used both the above methods on mine. Except instead of draino I was using oven cleaner. I had an idea that I thought would work well but didn't ever try, which is to cut a length of tube that will fit over the nozzle on a can of the foaming oven cleaner, poke some holes on the other end and slide ...

Re: Carb screws stuck and/or crazy
Greetings: It's been a while since I've examined/handled a stock carb, but if memory serves the throttle stop screw always protrudes and the spring remains exposed. ORLY? Ok. My Aero isn't like that so I got confused. I thought they'd be more similar than they are. I can't tell much from the Tech D...

Carb screws stuck and/or crazy
On my new Spree the carb seems to have been rigged by a lazy monkey. The throttle stop screw (top) is probably from a different bike, it's sticking way out and the spring is exposed, but the spring is too big to be turned into the carb body... how far into the carb throat should the screw stick turn...

Re: Spree Tire Question
thank you for the post wheelman. you have a knack for explaining things to a layman.
my tires are holding air but "have more cracks than the great wall of china" (great quote )
I want white walls for my wife's spree sooooo bad. I'll look for 90/80 and 80/80 I guess. Thanks

Re: Spree Tire Question
So I'm assuming that 2.75 x 10 won't work? does anyone know how the #/#-10 numbers work, is there any type like 90/90-10 that are comparable to 2.5 x 10 or are the #/# ones much bigger?

Re: Spree Tire Question
I'm not very knowledgeable about tire sizes, but I found this site that says it has whitewall tires in size 10" and 12" any thoughts? The basket system is odd, I'm thinking this site might be for people looking to import large numbers http://www.globalsources.com/gsol/GeneralManager?&d...

Re: rear wheel?!?!?!
any safety issues with putting these back on? If it takes that much to get it off, what should you use to put it back on? I'm assuming your standard ratchet isn't gonna cut it

Re: Spree Tire Question
I'm also looking for Spree whitewalls. I'm going to start investigating and see if I can find anything. I don't hold out much hope for whitewalls that size though
If anyone finds any please PM me and the OP!
