Save your efforts to improve the look....spend the money on a GOOD lock....when college is over, and you've got secure storage, then NeVER paint it. Keep the black and shine it as much as it will take.....I dont see any need to change this bike.....and as a personal choice, I dislike painted plasti...

No, 15X600X6 tube is way too much to be stuffing into a 4.50-5.30X6.....the right size is available at ACE hardware....bought 2 there this summer....AND most any other lawnmower parts distributor.
