Re: Best street carb for 72cc

If it helps, I am running a Dio ZX. Malossi cast 72cc big bore. Standard exhaust and standard carb (JDM Dio carb up jetted). All tuned along with malossi variator, belt, changed the trans gears. It runs really really well. It starts and runs like a standard dio, can be used daily, has a top speed of...

Re: dio drag build

This more than appeals!

I've got a spare dio that would love to one day turn into a dedicated drag bike.

Looks great!

What's the hottest cylinder temp you have had? *436 degF*

As the title suggest. What is the hottest cylinder temperature you have had? Recently I had 436F at wide open throttle for an extended period of time. Malossi 72cc Cast BBK. The problem being that I recently changed the throttle cable as it was very stiff and sticking in places. I believe that when ...

Re: JDM Honda DIo ZX with Malossi Cast 72cc.

I also replaced the front forks with the gold coloured forks that came with my dio alloy wheels. It looks way better. I'm not sure if they are better forks? They seem beefier than the standard disk forks? Anyway, they complete the picture. I forgot to add. I have also used an oversized Tadia starter...

Re: JDM Honda DIo ZX with Malossi Cast 72cc.

NICE! Can you tell us a little more about the NCY throttle? --Shortens up the throttle travel? --Does it mounts right onto the SuperDio handlebars without having to cut into the headlight or speedometer plastics? Thanks! The NCY throttle is super nice and an easy install. It shortens the twist move...

Re: JDM Honda DIo ZX with Malossi Cast 72cc.

Its bee you tee full! I understand it looking stock for "the law side of things". But im just curious how you got that titled over here. Hi Melo, I'm in New Zealand. We have very different laws to the USA. It is relatively easy to register our vehicles here. However, there are rules about...

JDM Honda DIo ZX with Malossi Cast 72cc.

Some pics of my finally finished scooter. I ran into a few issues and it sat in the garage for a few years but the need for a running scooter for a big event, coast to coast (250kms over mountains) sparked my interest in the Dio again. It started life as a JDM Dio ZX AF28 in japan. Then came to NZ. ...

Re: Honda NH80 Lead/Aero Parts Help

Yeah the bike is still running the original shock so this should be a big improvement. Its a no name no brand shock from a local scooter supplier. Me and a friend have fitted them to both of our scoots and they improve handling no end. When it comes to cornering with the original shocks I used to be...

Re: Honda NH80 Lead/Aero Parts Help

A real win today. I've got the new rollers and shocky. My mate put the variator into his big lathe at work, matched the angle, and turned it down with the the tool and its come up really well. You can see a small groove left. We decided to leave that as we had already taken quite a bit off the face....

Re: Honda NH80 Lead/Aero Parts Help

Thanks all. Ive managed to find the correct rollers here in NZ. Sounds like the guy had to dig them out of the back shelf. However, at this stage I'm going to have to run with the lathe the variator idea. What's the worst that can happen! And yes Ultraliner I will be on the mighty Scooter Safari for...

Re: Honda NH80 Lead/Aero Parts Help

Ok. The only KOSO rollers I can find are 16mm diameter x 13mm wide. I guess if they are the same weight it doesn't matter?

Standard is 18mm diameter x 14mm wide.
