Re: Carb upgrade?
The “P” was the restricted version. The non-P had a different exhaust, taller trans gears, and a different ramp plate. The carbs were the same except for a slightly bigger main jet. The speedo also showed up to 45 but could never quite get there in stock form without a big hill or gale force backwin...

Re: Dio af18 project🔥
It restricts belt movement to lower top speeds, you will want to remove it. Thanks♥️ Yes, it restricts top speed and should be removed. It also keeps the grease inside from escaping and getting slung all over the place. Be sure to clean all the grease out with brakleen or something before running i...

Re: 1994 Honda SR Elite
No drain plug. Just need to disconnect the oil line to drain. Theres a small screen filter inside the rubber boot at the tank connection that should be cleaned while you're in there.

Re: Spree won't do a thing after carb clean
Pay attention to “how” it dies. Does it sound like its sputtering and bogging before it quits? Like getting flogged with excess fuel?…or does it just suddenly die like you just hit the kill button? Next ride, go with the body panels off and bring a tool to remove the spark plug and gloves (hot motor...

Re: Spree won't do a thing after carb clean
Try a different CDI. When they go wonky they do weird things. Stay away from the cheap ebay “racing” CDI’s. Get a nice used OEM one and try it. I have a box full of them somewhere in storage. If it wasnt buried in 1 of 100 bins I would just give you one.

Re: Spree won't do a thing after carb clean
Symptoms dont sound electrical but I wouldnt rule anything out until its running right. Fuel, fire and air…one of those isnt happy. What main jet is in there? I dont remember stock Spree size but I recall it being tiny…like 68 or something. Been a long time since I messed with the Spree motor.

Re: Spree won't do a thing after carb clean
Frustrating, I can relate. The issue is always something simple but not exactly obvious. Diagnosis is always 90% of the repair so just keep digging for it. Have you gone over everything under the belt cover? Maybe a slipping belt, cooked clutch, glazed bell, c etc… I had a faulty petcock once that w...

Re: Spree won't do a thing after carb clean
Check fuel delivery. Possibly faulty petcock or cracked/leaking vacuum hose to said petcock. Maybe blocked fuel line. Could be an air leak at one of 20 different places allowing air to suck in when revved but not at idle. Check every connection theres a gasket or rubber o-ring….bystarter, carb top c...

Re: Proper selettra ignition for Honda Dio/Elite
In my experience building over 20 sport/race motors on the af16 platform, the cdi upgrades do little-to-nothing for performance. The stock Honda cdi keeps up with 11,500 rpm’s just fine with no noticeable spark lag. This is on fully built motors with ported engine cases, ported race bores, ported in...

Re: Dio af18 project🔥
Porting isnt necessary to make it rip. The Corsa is amazing for bolt-on and go as is. If you were going to do any porting you’d need to crack open the cases and remove the crank while you do it. Then do the boost port and some other small internal bits while youre in there. Its not worth the effort ...

Re: 86 SPREE ....GOOD NEWS ...BAD NEWS
Also, if you have jumper cables you can hook it to your car and start your Spree if the battery is weak. Just dont have the car running while you do it. The Spree doesnt like the 14.4v a running car will give. Leave the car off for a 12 volt jolt! If you have an electric car…I have no idea. Try at y...

Re: 86 SPREE ....GOOD NEWS ...BAD NEWS
Four things for starter to work: 1, key on 2, red button switched to “run” 3, left brake lever pulled and held (can be locked on via parking brake tab) make sure rear brake light illuminates brighter when lever is pulled. 4, press starter button If that doesnt work then you have issues like: bad sta...

Re: Dio af18 project🔥
If it doesnt like your oil mix, it will let you know pretty quick. Too much oil will either be fine, run like crap or not run at all. Its the “not enough oil” that will break stuff. Lol Be sure to hondabond the heck out of the oil plug before you shove it in. They have o-rings but somehow still leak...

Re: 1987 se50 elite mlm pipe.
Dont look at it as having seven…its 42g total. Getting the Malossi yellow contra would improve the shift curve as well. That stock spring is well worn by now and isnt doing you any favors.
