Re: stereo question for elite

If you want a radio like that on a scooter you need a completely separate battery pack to run it, your elite doesn't have 300 watts to spare, more like under 30.

Re: Not your OEM belt.

I'm curious what this belt does to a box stock spree, I haven't tried one, just predicted the dimensions.

If you aren't revving over 10,000 rpm I wouldn't even think of buying one.

If you do install an inline filter, make sure it is for grav fed setups.

Re: Looking for a performance clutch - 1986 Spree/NQ50

Buy new clutch shoes and DIY, "dio" clutch springs(NOT center springs) fit and can be used to adjust engagement RPM. Also be aware that sprees normally can't get out of their own way till around 12 mph, where they hit the powerband and overcome the tall gearing causing them to take off.

You don't come around here often, do you? gears have been found, and dio gears have been made to work before. Wheelman-111 has gotten 55mph out of an AF05.

Re: Rebuilding Guide?

Off the top of my head. Tear it down Check the big end rod bearing, if loose crank will need replacement/rebuilding. If bore is scored deeply, it will need to be bored. Replace piston if scored/overbore is required, if piston/bore looks good, just re ring. Check oil pump, replace oil seal if needed ...

Re: Oil Pump

Run the pump dry, it seizes, strips the gears, fills the engine with steel shaving and trashes the whole engine in seconds. I would just a buy a new pump.
