Re: I think I'm burning oil...halp
How do you say "I'm retarded!"s" in Yapanese? Tip on funnel> in a crunch, you can take a piece of paper, roll it up and spread one end to make a funnel. It's a bit messy, but works.

WHAT? You're in Yapan and asking a forum with mostly Continental Americans about your DIO? WOW. I've got an older DIO which came over on a Banana boat. Great bike.

Re: Morals buy and sell (what's your opinion?)
In defense of daywot, I've bought from him and not had any problems. In fact, he has been most helpful with followup. Can't say that I've had any problems with anybody in this forum on purchase or sell. Haven't tried a trade, but expect fairness. I do anticipate a fellow not being able to get to the...

Re: how to hotwire a scooter?
Something's wrong here. Assuming the Razz is built similar to the other Yammerhammers such as the Jog, or the Honda scooters, pull the nose piece and you have access to the ignition. Wait a minute. The Razz is a moped, isn't it? Can't help on how to get to the ignition, but anyway... Remove it and a...

Re: Hydrogen hybrid scooter?
This particular ad looks like smoke and mirrors. BUT, I studied the hydrogen cell a couple of years ago. There has been a lot of research and the theory is solid, but there are a lot of bugs to work out. One is, there is a excess of temperature to deal with. Secondly, the production of the cell itse...

Re: Tuning a ministroker?
BTW I put my caliper on the deck and measured (as close to precisely as the technique will allow) something very close to 44.1mm taking the piston from top to bottom. I'm sure there are other specs, but pretty sure mine's a true 44.1. Can I assume it's a Ruima? What bbk did you put on it? How did y...

Re: Tuning a ministroker?
Boy, can't nobody slip a typo by you guys. Yeah, it is 44.1, nor 41.1. Sorry bout that. Why didn't go with a 47mm bore or greater? Do I find a fellow cheapskate on the Forum? Wheelman, Not so much a cheapskate as just wanting to rebuild a crashed scooter, not build a zinger. It crashed on me in lat...

Re: New Member, new bike. SE50 Elite Aus spec.
Side cover suggests direct drive (no variator) similar to the Elite E. I believe the SE was the forerunner to the Elite E. It is an AFO5E and has a vari I have an 87 Elite and it looks exactly the same. That bike goes 50 MPH easy. :geekdance: I stand corrected. Visitiing my favorite online store ve...

Re: New Member, new bike. SE50 Elite Aus spec.
Also, it looks like someone has tryed to make it look like a *cough*Yamaha Jog *cough* With the purple paint scheme and rear lights. Here here. I've got a Jog and like it. And my 99 Elite SR50 is that color purple. All joking aside, you gotcha a project there for sure. Side cover suggests d...

Re: Wish I had $100 right now!
Oh man. I'm with Videonut on this, sell a dog or something, just rake the cash to do it. That AF18E motor is worth 3-4 times that. It may be difficult to restore. Parts don't come easy on the Dio. I've got its twin, in process of repainting. Hard to find them with decent paint. But it is without a d...

Tuning a ministroker?
I finally got my '99 SA50P rebuilt, with a 41.1mm mini-stroker and 45mm bbk, ending up with 70cc. Exhaust ring had already been removed or different exhaust (no drill marks) and changed 68 jet to 78. Variator plate not removed yet, waiting to install aftermarket variator. It seems to have a flat spo...

Re: Does any one know where to get a honda pal belt?
The NQ50 and NB50, both have single piece cover. They will take same belt. Here is a source for much less than what you have found. http://www.sunrisehonda.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?section=157073&category=SCOOTERS&make=HONDA&year=1988&fveh=3648 BELT, DRIVE 23100-GK8-870 001 $27.7...

Re: What is the value of a 2001 SA50 motor?
What do you think? I think you could easily get your $125 back from it if you decided to part it out to us...but throw a $100 offer at it and if he bites, you can have a free, probably even profitable learning experience. Got plastic? If you buy to part out, I would be interested in main body panel...

Re: How to keep Spree petcock in place?
As I start in on the process of making replacement Spree petcock covers, can anyone suggest improvements to keep them in place better so they don't pop off? Since I don't actually own a Spree (yet :naughty: ), photos would be help. Good Question. I only have one Spree and haven't had a problem with...
