When cleaning the carbs did you pull out the emulsion tubes and clean them? Check the two intake holes in the airbox lid, they like to plug up. You should not need holes in the lids, I would replace the lid and do things right.

Gravity, just put a little on the needle, let it soak, slide out the slide. I believe the airbox cover recommends 80-90 gear lube, but I cant stand the smell of that stuff, and its impossible to get off.

PVC cement seems to bond fine if you cant find the ABS stuff, I repaired a cracked graywater pipe in my moms camper using A few coats of PVC cement applied every day for a few days, the pipe made it to Canada and back just fine.

I feel for flow on the other side/see bubbles or mist of cleaner. Carb clean has this nasty tendency to strip the oil out of your skin, among other things. I dont like to spray it around when I don't have to.
