Re: General Bee-Yotch-Slap

Due to the climate of political correctness now pervading America, Kentuckians, Tennesseans and West Virginians will no longer be referred to as 'HILLBILLIES.' You must now refer to them as APPALACHIAN-AMERICANS. And furthermore HOW TO SPEAK ABOUT WOMEN AND BE POLITICALLY CORRECT: 1. She is not a 'B...

When cleaning the carbs did you pull out the emulsion tubes and clean them? Check the two intake holes in the airbox lid, they like to plug up. You should not need holes in the lids, I would replace the lid and do things right.

Re: JUNKYARDS... are the S***

Gravity, just put a little on the needle, let it soak, slide out the slide. Use a rag to carefully wipe any varnish off the slide and set it off to the side. then scrape the crap out and clean the jets. The bike sort of runs now(on a squirt bottle, semi auto petcock isn't doing its job) but is leaki...

Re: air filter oil question

I believe the airbox cover recommends 80-90 gear lube, but I cant stand the smell of that stuff, and its impossible to get off.

Re: Body Repair

PVC cement seems to bond fine if you cant find the ABS stuff, I repaired a cracked graywater pipe in my moms camper using A few coats of PVC cement applied every day for a few days, the pipe made it to Canada and back just fine.

Yes, some sort of epoxy putty would work if you can prep the surface. d*** shame Billy had to die right after Michael. Billy Mays has gotten maybe 5 minute on the news and they are still talking about a guy who died years ago in my opinion.

Re: 85 spree carb and 87 aero carb

I feel for flow on the other side/see bubbles or mist of cleaner. Carb clean has this nasty tendency to strip the oil out of your skin, among other things. I dont like to spray it around when I don't have to.

Re: JUNKYARDS... are the S***

I have a twin CV carb 1980 GS250 I am working on right now, it was last registered in 1993, the E tubes are soaking in brake clean right now so I can get the slides out! Said slides are attached to $120 diaphragms(that are luckily in good shape) BTW.

Re: HOLY CRAP!

You don't need A/C on a bike, just go faster and let wind chill do its thing! EDIT: On second thought most bikes today have enough power that the small loss from a smaller than automotive sized pump(auto sized pump draws 3-5 HP) would not be missed, the air could be ported directly into the riders g...

He's after a generic belt to modify gear ratio. I love living in an ex industrial area, I can go to a store that sells nothing but belts, it's great.
