Re: MONSTER Spree
while it is neat that you acquired some money. This thread is useless without and relative scooter info. What are you going to do to your scooter? Also, i hate hearing of people that run into money and have to get it spent asap, because its "free money" and free money means shopping spree....

Re: How long does the oil last?
I never let the oil light come on. Every 5th tank, at the most, I fill the oil tank. I would suspect I could go 10 tanks but I am not gonna chance it. Besides that if the light system fails, you burn your motor up. I as afraid my advice would be taken as saying, don't worry filling your oil until y...

Re: How long does the oil last?
this may sound stupid, but im not sure how much you know. The oil tank is not like that in a car. In a car, if your oil is low, your hurting the motor. In these scooters (as far as the oil tank is concerned) it either has oil or it doesn't. Its similar to a cars fuel tank. When you actually run out,...

Re: Good Paint Finish?
First rule of thumb is that it will look like crappy if its flakeing off. Sand the panels and make sure everything is super clean. Use adhesion promoter. Don't cut any corners on prep. Paint doesn't want to stick to these panels, so you must force it. Other than that. Are you spray painting or using...

Re: 89 Elite R - my first build
old gaskets seal the surfaces together over time. Only way that seems to work is beating a pry bar in between the two surfaces, but you must be very careful since cast aluminum will break. Thats probably where that hole came from. Start off trying to get a knife or something else very thin in there.

Re: I'm tired of being a snail ???? (Spree AF05 swap)
swap on a shaved head and see what happens. I put one on, with my bigger bore, and the thing ran with the spark plug disconnected. Too high of compression. If its a stock motor, i don't see any reason why you couldn't run a shaved head

thats funny, my spree has a variator
my spree when it was bone stock went 30mph on flat ground. Maybe a new belt would get you there? Or maybe my speedo was off....

Re: Pink/Cream Spree
Very nice. Now you just got to be careful not to scratch it. I painted mine and did everything humanly possible to get good adhesion, but after being in my packed garage for 4 years along with going in and out of the back of trucks. The paint looks like *. At least its still stuck on where it hasn't...

The performance cdi is just a low grade stock replacement. So its an option if you need one but stock is higher quality
