My $0.02 if you didn't swap the bystarters then its a jetting issue (clogged main jet, wrong size), if you left the bystarters on the carbs, then its a vacuum leak on the oring at the bottom of the bystarter. If you replace that oring ($0.25 at the local hardware store) and it still is an issue then...

one pointing down at the rear top is a fuel overflow from the bowl, from factory had a tube that ran through the rear engine shroud to empty in front of the rear tire. The one on the bottom to the side is the bowl drain, it has a screw in the front of the bowl to let fuel out of storage or repair it...

Needle looks fine for the throttle, as for power loss that may be bystarter related as well, since you are not getting a good seal. The bystarter oring is shot. The side view pic 1 shows no profile of the oring on the bottom of the bystarter, typical of compressed orings on older engines. Replace th...

It is a slow auto choke. As the engine is running it slowly moves out to close off the enriching circuit that causes excess gas into the intake between the throttle and combustion chamber. When you shut the engine off it will slowly move back to open. The idea is it moves in conjunction with the hea...

Injector oil will not freeze. Actually the cold weather helps in performance since it holds more oxygen and lets the engine stay cooler. You should have no problem running it, as for storage inside is best. Otherwise drop a tablespoon of oil (injector oil is fine) in the spark plug hole to keep the ...

You have a vacuum leak on the bystarter, and the idle circuit at the base of the bystarter is clogged. The symptoms are exactly typical of what you describe. If under load it doesn't perform you have a clogged main jet. 1) Test the bystarter like I have described previously. 2) If that creates a fas...

The wheelie thing is not the fault of the carb bowl, but the idle circuit. You are basically getting fuel in the intake by emptying the bowl through the main jet, then it will start. The reason it starts again after warm without the wheelie is that you do not need the extra fuel when it is warm. I w...

Broken diaphram on the fuel valve. Get a used one and or new. The fuel is getting past the diapram and getting sucked into the intake down the vacuum.

Bystarter has nothing to do with the vacuum line to open the fuel valve.

Honda dealer can get them for $27 (I did). If you let them set them up, and they fail within a month or two, the dealer will normally test and if they are bad get you a new one, cause they will return it themselves to the vendor. The wal-mart route is ok but my opinion the dealer has more leverage t...
