Re: Cruising the sand at Daytona Beach
I can't get anyone near these things lol. My wife, mom, brother, co-workers, friends, etc. are all either afraid of them or think they are too dorky. I sold my stepfather my SA50 and he rides it all over the place. He recently mounted a milk crate and PVC tubes to carry his fishing rods. Other than ...

Re: Will a Spree exhaust fit on an Elite E?
Do you think it's possible to cut the head tube off of a stock Spree pipe and weld it on to the one you bought?
BTW sadly, I had to unload my SB50 for peanuts and the guy is already parting it our on Ebay.

Re: Advantage of SB50 Reeds?
Thanks for the links! So it looks like you pick up some speed on the top end. I've always read about them, but didn't really know how they made a difference.

Re: Advantage of SB50 Reeds?
In actual results, do the SB50 reeds give you more top end, more torque, etc.? Does anyone have a before and after numbers comparison of the difference between Spree and SB50?

"Which bike? I haven't seen a full Spree gasket kit in years."
I recently purchased a full gasket set from Treatland that included the side cover gasket. I also have an oem Honda SB50 side cover gasket if you need patterns.

Re: Aftermarket reeds for Spree / Elite
I'd really like to see you make some side cover (kickstarter side case) gaskets so I don't have to buy an entire kit just to get the one.

Re: 89 elite e
While we're on the topic, if I have a bad crankcase seal, does the air fuel mixture that should be drawn into the cylinder get kicked out through the worn out seal?

Re: 89 elite e
Glad I read this. I'll look into that too. Can a plugged up exhaust cause the problem I'm having with oil/fuel mixture being pushed past the crankcase seal and out into the side cover?

Re: 1990 Elite E leaking oil out of kickstart cover, won't s
That looks like the thing! There are so many different part numbers I wanted someone else to take a look too before I order anything else. I keep spending money on this thing and It doesn't even have a title. I was hoping to get it going then sell it, but I keep having to fix things.

Re: 1990 Elite E leaking oil out of kickstart cover, won't s
I was wondering about the crankshaft seal. I have never had it running. It doesn't even try to start. Everything moves freely and looks really clean even inside the kickstart case cover. I've checked all the usual stuff: spark, compression is 130, rebuilt carb, tank is clean, lines look good, exhaus...

Re: 1990 Elite E leaking oil out of kickstart cover, won't s
It's coming from somewhere near the front of the engine as the kickstart gear attached to the drive face and the starter gears are completely wet with this stuff. It smells strongly of fuel. For now I have drained all the gas and oil out of the tanks while I debate what to do next.
