Re: Barn Find - Spree?
If anyone does find a glove box I would be willing to take a crack at making a casting mold of it much like I have done with the petcock cover pieces.

Re: Spree Facelift
Couple comments/questions:
How do you anodize steel wheels? I thought anodizing only worked on aluminum.
I like the matching paint thoughout the scooter!
Now it just needs a petcock cover... I happen to know a guy

Re: '86 Aero, Power on, Power off?
I think I have a spare CDI floating around in a parts box somewhere, I will try that.
Intermittent electrical problems are probably the worst problem I can think of to track down

Re: '86 Aero, Power on, Power off?
After adjusting the clip back to the starting point I thought the issue was solved since I didn't have the problem on the next ride. Today it briefly happened again and the scooter felt a little sluggish unlike it has in the past (at the same settings it is at now). When the power cuts out it is alm...

3 things:
1. Your skillz are yet again shown to be awesome
2. If I sent you my powder coated cover do you think it could be cut without chipping the powder coating along the edge?
3. Shoot me a PM for a price on #2 above and a PG pipe for my Dio

Re: Can a chain slip over a tooth?
See the bolt just to the right of your red circle in the photo posted. That is one of many bolts all the way around the alum. cover, remove all of those remove the cover and you will find your belt.

Re: Disc brake Conversion: Joe dirt style
Your machine skillz can make it happen
Next on your to do list after the rollers and disk conversion should be a variator for the spree engine, you would go from hero to god
... and I don't even own a Spree (any longer)

Re: '86 Aero, Power on, Power off?
Lowering the clip should be richer in the area of needle influence (see diagram) With the needle lifted - maybe your engine is 'four-stroking'? I've had scooters alternate between normal and four-stroking. Weee..neee..Weeee..neee all the way home :D . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four-stroking Than...

'86 Aero, Power on, Power off?
To start, I have been riding the scoot with no issues for a while, but suspected a slightly lean condition based on the ring ding ding of the scooter.
