Re: The World at 37mph, or The Journey of My 87 Aero

Bumping for insight...the last annoyance before I tear the carb apart and rejet is with my kickstand scraping on turns. It's more than likely the original one but it's bent here and there so it's scraping. Are there alternatives if I were to remove it? Like an easy side stand MOD? Would just remove ...

Had to take apart the start switch and blast it with some contact cleaner and a brush. Starts no problem now, way happy to have that, this has purely been kick start for the longes...

Re: The World at 37mph, or The Journey of My 87 Aero

Haha people notice the grips a lot. Cheap eBay find for about 14 shipped. They have different colors and they fit pretty well. It's been cold lately and my arthritis has been acting up so it may be a few days before I pull the carb apart, but besides getting the rear combo light lens , the carb is t...

Re: The World at 37mph, or The Journey of My 87 Aero

Yeah I might be interested! I need to take apart the carb, but when I was getting this up and running again I took it apart so many d*** times I've been putting it off. Do you know the stock size? Also, it seems just going up one size at a time is preferred yeah? Thanks benji!

Re: The World at 37mph, or The Journey of My 87 Aero

Thanks! It's definitely getting there. I haven't painted the panel with the logo on it as I want to find a way to preserve it. Does anyone know if these can be found still, oem or repro? The only one I could find on eBay were glittery ones, hah. Also found a good main street with a huge bike lane an...

The World at 37mph, or The Journey of My 87 Aero

So about two years ago my friend was moving here from AZ to OH. Right before he left he found a mint 86 Aero to replace his dilapidated Aero he found in a woman's garage he was doing work for. He was moving cross country in a pickup so could really only take one, the new one. I traded him a guitar a...

Re: Trustworthy traders......

My Aero has had trouble breathing lately, but motormike saved the day with a quick response to my wtb thread and hooked me up with an oem airbox. Super friendly, sent plenty of pics and thorough description. Thanks motormike!

Re: AF05E Exhaust List - Aero and Elite 87-93 engines

I actually was just looking at that! I pm'd him about the mirrors as well. Are those going to be the best bang for my buck? I was looking in the 120 range with the Tecnigas being in there, but if it's worth the extra, I may raise a little more and go for it. Thx!

Re: AF05E Exhaust List - Aero and Elite 87-93 engines

Hey look a 5 year old thread being revived! So I'm in the market for a new exhaust after my exhaust plopped off a table and a tab to the connection port snapped off... Oem exhaust seem easy to find on the bay, but want to take this opportunity to upgrade. My question is...what are some more recently...

Re: Newb Needs Guidance- '86 NB50 - Where to find bolts?

I was afraid of that, but the solution actually doesn't sound too bad. I have a friend who has a tap set, and I think I can get that taken care of thank you! and now I absolutely see those bolts, I was looking close, but not close enough haha. I'll keep my eye out on the for sale section, its nice t...

Newb Needs Guidance- '86 NB50 - Where to find bolts?

Hey all, new guy here. Traded a guitar amp for my buddy's old '86 Aero before he moved out of state and this thing has been great to me. Recently, I got a flat tire and let it sit for about a month and half before replacing it, I know I know tsk tsk. Since then I had some issues with startup, then i...
