Re: Taz's Spree Varaitor(a must read)

Re: spree variator
Trafic if you get a design or fab an exsisting variator onto the elite e it will work on the spree as well. Let me know if you come up with anything. And yes you are correct spree parts will not make you rich. hehe And 45mph from a spree engine is no problem. An expansion chamber pipe, intake adapt...

Re: Bought 1986 Spree. Need HELP!!!
Yes there is, if the bolts are in good shape go to autozone or any auto parts store and buy a thread repair kit 6mm/1.00, remove carb and be sure to tape off all openings next carfully redrill bolt holes using 1/4 inch drill bit, then you will need to retapp hole using 8mm/1.00 tap, then you screw ...

Re: spree variator
If this mod ends up requiring a crank swap, you might as well drop the project right now. The average Spree owner is not gonna go to that kind of expense and effort. If they were then they would be swapping in any one of the variated 50 cc motors would be as a better option. now you get what i was ...

Re: Bought 1986 Spree. Need HELP!!!
Just checked the two bolts that attach the carb to intakes. The long one is in the back, short one in the front but the short one in the front seems to be stripped as it will not tighten completely. I assume this may be why the engine wont stay started? Is there any way to remedy this at all withou...
