read the first part of what bear said about the vaccum leaks or just up jett it and pretend there are no vac leaks, but best bet for what is wrong is vaccum leak check everything over not just to see if tight but look for cracks, like bear said, even a bad head gasket can make a huge case leak and ...

your petcock is under the fuel tank like screwed in to the bottom with two vacuum nipples coming out

check petcock and for vacuum leaks not sold on carb issues check vac leaks for sure and the petcock :thumbwink:

elite e with nq50? one hundred dollars or less you can get a 44mm big bore kit more power and in my opinion way safter then the 48. cheap simiple easy thats what i would do :thumbwink:

how about this one u untape the wires off the motor to make sure your conections from harness to stater are correct cause the the only constant things are the motor stater and wire leaving stater or maybe pulling that wire though the hole it nicked on that nice sharp clean case :thumbwink: check it ...

also, the rear brake cable.. you can squeeze it and its on the grip... how can I tighten it to work so I know that I am getting it to allow for it to start... adjust the rear brake cable nut found by the back tire and u could just kick it and worry about that another time, but all that should do is ...

o your stripped out carb is simple fix and very common problem, get a 6-1.0x30 to 45mm bolt (i cant remember what the lengh is sorry) and a nut to match problem solved
