Does it start right up and idle okay? Mine bogged down once in awhile while the engine was not warmed up to operating temperature. I set my throttle valve to the first notch on the throttle needle. I also made sure the float was operating smoothly. That seems to have taken care of the problem for me.

When I first start up my 86 spree It seems to not want to idle fast enough. When i adjust the idle then its alright until it warms up and then it idles too fast. It will also bog down once in awhile when I give it full throttle if the engine hasn't warmed up yet. Once the engine is warmed up it runs...

It could be a lot of things. Is the float valve operating smoothly?
Is the air screw and idle screw set correctly?
Is the aircleaner clogged or dirty?
Is the auto bystarter working?
Is the fuel line clogged?
Thats just a few things to check out

Heres the problem When i first accelerate the spree * a little bit and once it gets going it rides real smooth. It will go about 30 miles per hour top end. Could it be the belt slipping or clutch or something in the tansmission? I took the belt cover off and the belt looks real good no missing tread...
