It's not wasted time if Honda's paying you to do it...

Try a clean/rebuild on the carb b/f you buy a kit. The carb was designed to be rebuilt without needing new gaskets (rubber seals). Besides, there's only two jet, and the tiny, non-replaceable idle jet is the most likely to need cleaning. You might want to pull the head after you get it running. Beli...

Not sure what you have in mind... elaborate?

An upholstery shop can rebuild seats with new foam and cover for you, or you can learn to do upholstery yourself. If you just need new foam and don't need a cover (cover's in good shape), that might be enough.

Better front suspension, based on pics, might actually have viscous damping vs. friction/no damping Spree forks. Anyone know if the front forks from an Aero will bolt up to a Spree? I thought the Aero had a variator, or variable speed auto trans. You're right, I never see Aeros. Guess the Sprees had...

Sounds like your aircleaner is disconnected. Is there a foam filter in place in the filter box?

Yep, I'm comfortable with that. Exhaust, intake, carb, and probably reed block. Most of the above is buildable. Just not the jug, head, and pistons. I have access to a machine shop and technical help, but not a foundary. So what parts interchange with this Spree engine?

60cc piston for the Spree?

Hey, does anyone know anything about a 60cc piston for the Honda Spree? I've seen a few posts that refer to it, but can't find a Honda part number or supplier. It's supposed to be buried on this site: http://www.network54.com/Hide/Forum/26489?it=0 which has a really terrible seach interface, and ove...

Yeah, well there's no need to winterize in places it rarely snows. So the Spree is a year-round vehicle for you? In MI you'd need ice tires to make it around, and that's what they make snowmobiles for... I have a post; this relates to motorcycles in general. From www.cb1100f.net ----------------- We...

You'd be surprized. I know I guy here, Murray Pfaff, that does exactly what you're doing for a living. New outer designs for automotive OEMs when they want to do a custom job. Just started out on his own after working for a design shop last year.

The tire's got a huge weight on the inside that makes it roll uphill.
