Re: my wife is from china my scooter is from japan
The last girlfriend that made me pick between her and the fleet of scooters lost horribly. The one I got now? She rides a Vino I bought her. She'll ride whatever she dont have to pay for of course, but I'd rather be the one on a China bike. I don't like hers to break down considering she don't know ...

Riva 180... Mods?
Anyone know of any type of performance enhancing mods I can do to this big scooter? It's supposed to do 75mph but I'm lucky to hit 60, and I'm pretty sure the carb and emissions has to do with it. Am I able to swap the system out for a standard flat slide race carb? I got one sitting on the shelf th...

Re: Insane 50cc Drag Bike on Craigslist!!!
It's a junk Chinese from the looks of it, 85mph is wishful thinking. The Ninja 250 carb aught to make it starve for fuel and run hot, and the Yoshimura exhaust should do even hotter. I'll bet that carb aint jetted. Very surprising if thats legit but I got a good laugh...

Re: Customer 99 S, need some advice
haha yeah it was too funny watching him ride it when the top end still held compression. it was weak but enough to run, it hauled him good at 33mph after I derestricted it with great pickup but he wants it to scream now

Customer 99 S, need some advice
I'm going to hop up a 99 Elite S I have in the garage for a customer and long time friend. Looking to big bore, slightly larger carb, and transmission mods. This bike is being built for a 300 pound guy, looking for suggestions as to where to start. He wants a nice firm launch and around 65mph, I'm w...

Re: 89 Elite E "Sidewalk Pounder"
Of all things, I never thought of that. But would that really have that effect on it? That's crazy. I got a few plugs in the drawer, I'll see what happens.

Re: 89 Elite E "Sidewalk Pounder"
Yeah yeah, I'm still working on the pics, haha. I started having this problem with it today, keep in mind there's no longer nitro in the system. I was riding and the d*** thing just cut out, like something was stuck in the jets. So I tore the carb apart and it was clear, but I cleaned it good. As a ...

89 Elite E "Sidewalk Pounder"
Ok so I got this 89 Elite practically free (along the lines of a case of beer), it was missing the front axle and both tires and tubes and all the plastic. But the engine ran perfect. We swapped in a trailing front end out of my old Powermax frame, so it now not only has better front suspension but ...

Re: CH80 only 30 mph?
You should only have to remove the top valve cover to do so. It has like 4 8mm bolts in it, pull it off then follow the instructions in the manual. A feeler gauge isn't a bad idea for doing so. Otherwise it's really easy to do. Did you try adding the stock air cleaner yet? I do know 125's and 150s r...

Re: how has everyone been?
My only current project is a 90 Elite E. I got it for practically nothing, just haven't taken pics yet, and when I do you'll see why. and Brad, I don't use meth. haha. The only substance I use naturally grows in the woods, and my doc says it's good for me ;) But the Elite I have has a beautiful seat...

Re: CH80 only 30 mph?
the missing air cleaner could be a culprit. just because it is 4 stroke doesn't mean it don't need to be there haha. you also have to give the fresh engine time to break in, you won't really reach top speed til it does. I've rebuilt lots of 150cc China junkers and customers complain of only 45... du...
