Re: Stupid thought of mine, maybe I'll get somewhere with it
right. the front forks arent big enough to accomodate even a standard 10" wheel unless it's from a Spree which I don't have. Mounting the engine would be the semi-easy part, it's modding the front forks with no welder that sucks balls. I wouldnt really be comfortable with the idea of having my ...

Re: Vento Triton R4i
The real thing is close to the chinese ones I have but not even a hair close enough for this motor. It's an oblong style on all my motors but this one, this is like a huge circle shape with a rectangle notch at the top. Kinda hard to describe but not typical. I'm just searching for the right motor f...

Stupid thought of mine, maybe I'll get somewhere with it...
So I have this 85 Tomos gold bullet that's pretty much complete, but i have been thinking of just parting it. I want to sell the motor and wheels and see if I can swap a set of 10" BWS tires and a Minarelli scooter motor into it. Kinda like TrafficJamz did with adding the Dio to his Express fra...

Re: Saratoga Spree~!
Best thing to do is to get yourself a nice hot bonfire going. Toss the pipe in and leave it there about a half hour. Once it cools, rinse it out, that should free all the crap from inside. That could also be chunks of rusted metal in there, if you wind up needing a new muffler I have one I don't bel...

Re: Vento Triton R4i
Yeah I need to buy a motor for it, it has a TCB motor on it right now. it's a long case, if the original wheel fits it ill keep it cause it has the bigger crank. I just have to get a fan/shroud for it. it's different than all the other minarelli clone engines.

Re: New guy here, Yamaha Vino questions
Welcome Tyler! I brought this guy here and he's looking to learn a little more about scoots/mopeds in general. I brought him here because I learned alot of what I know on here. I'm sure a few others will chime in and tell you that the Yamaha Vino's engine is worth the $200 you're paying for t...

My all time favorite car is BMW's. I've got to drive a couple now and they handle nothing like any of the American and Japanese hunks of crap I've had.
Sweet ride dude.

Re: im thinking about making an upgrade..?
I have owned 3 Elite 150's. If the price is under $1,000 you're in the ball park. Just make sure to take it for a hard test ride and watch the temp. It's a liquid cooled bike. The first one I bought wound up needing a head gasket because the previous owner always took 4-6 mile rides on very little c...

Re: Vento Triton R4i
They got the parts but I seriously don't get it. The picture they show looks nothing like my fan shroud. I have a box FULL of those. It's basically this big flat round thing with a vent in it, lol. It does not appear to have the wrong engine, but, it is definately NOT even CLOSE to the several chine...

Re: Winter Riding
I've got the fat Zuma style knobbies and thought about studding them, but i don't think there's enough there to sink a stud in without puncture.
It's only back roads which have ice on them normally anyways the plow trucks are lazy here and dont salt/plow back roads half of the time.

Re: ch150 on a elite 50 frame
Dude that's nasty. I got a Spree frame out back I thought about doing this on to make me a bike to take to the track. I'm sure if you toy around with the transmission it'll really scream. I put a CH125 on a CH80 frame which is almost bolt in other than radiator. I'm just waiting for another wrecked ...

Winter Riding
Anyone dumb/crazy as me to ride in the snow/ice? My Eton Beamer is my only set of wheels currently so I ride almost daily and normally 20+ miles a day at some points. My scoot is missing it's center stand and I thought about building a contraption there with wheels on it to stabilize my scooter from...
