I just did some checking in the manuals for some of the differences between the two gyros. Hi guys.... guess I should of explained abit more... altho not as bad as in your pic mousewheels, the ring end gap is well over the service limits of .02th mine was .075 if i remember right. Just thought it was funny to see the ring worn away to almost half the orginial width thats all... but its on...

84 gyro getting some help

I finally got around to pulling the piston and cyl off my 84 gyro with over 4000 miles on it. Not sure if the pic shows this very well but the rings were worn down almost to the point of the ring ends breaking off. And it still ran darn good for being 30 yrs old...lol.... gotta love it :coolcruise: ...

We currently have 4 Gyros and the NN50 is the wife's and she also has a 86 Black TG50. The word is, "Leave my Gyro's alone!!! So I can only play w/my 2 TG50s 85 black (which I have done some mods too) & a stock 86 red ... I'm building a 3rd 85 black TG50 that will be a total modifications,...

Thank you mousewheels...i had never seen a real one either till now. Heres my finished carb cover... all cut from a pail i found blowing down the street one day. I picked it up cos it was gyro blue in color...lol. The engine cover i got used and still needs painting. :coolcruise: Brian :coolcruise:

Unlike a 4 cycle that only compresses the gas and air mixture in the compresion chamber on the upward stroke of the piston, a 2 cycle also takes the gases that were sucked previously sucked into the crankcase and compresses it into the crankcase by the downward stroke of the piston.
