Re: Spree Speed Pulley?
I don't like to discourage anyone from trying to make improvements in their bike's performance....but, Meatball speaks truth about Spree. Too many years I've spent on this forum having witnessed Spree owners trying to make those mods, and the outcome CAN be positive, but it takes a lot of money and...

I think I would leave it as is, and then once you've got it running, make sure it doesn't starve at full throttle on a long run.

Re: I’m back, Spree won’t start anymore
You're okay...it would seem the oil pump has let 2-stroke oil seep down into the cylinder, and the crankcase. You have already pumped out the oil in the cylinder, but LIKELY there is still oil in the crankcase. Possibly oil has also migrated to the muffler, but not necessarily. Personally, I'm not ...

Re: 1997 honda 50, engine model?
Yes Mr. ehaughn, the year and VIN both indicate the bike has AF16 engine.
To further confirm it is correct, you will find a number stamped on the tail of the engine case.
Small rectangular boss with number stamped will include "AF16" in that number.

Re: Honda Spree 1987
MY QUESTION IS SHOULD FUEL BE FLOWING OUT THE GAS LINE WHEN I REMOVE IT FROM THE CARB? ... NO because mines dry and I tried blowing on it and couldn’t blow through will try and suck in 1 sec ... The reason no fuel comes out is because the petcock must have vacuum applied to the hose that connects p...

Re: The Daily Chat w/motor & Vintage
Greetings: Rare to see one in such pristine condition! Dude! Swap in a Dio!! This bike is a limited edition reproduction made in the late 90's. Yes, still somewhat rare, and in pristine, unmolested condition. I got it with the intention to only ride it while cruising car shows and the like.

Yeah, if you're riding it wide open, it don't matter how much it's faded.81c70_84Aero_50 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 05, 2023 4:33 pm Thank you so much, it runs and rides mint so I’ll live with the fading. Hope all is well!

Re: Bystarter/autochoke delete on 1985 Aero 80 with new carb?
My personal choice is to maintain oil pumps in use and enjoy the convenience of pumping gas into the tank without any hassle or any constant carrying oil with me. Converting the oil tank to reserve fuel supply is done, but since I've never done it, no opinion. I have a great deal of confidence in o...

Re: Bystarter/autochoke delete on 1985 Aero 80 with new carb?
First, yes, you can block all the hoses associated with the choke if your new carb has a manual choke. Second, thieves need to be hung, shot, boiled in oil, and sodomized. Third, I would do a very close inspection of the brass tube that is associated with the overflow. I have seen(several times) th...

Don't see those early Aeros very often. Too bad about some stains...hard to tell in the pix...no advice to help you, sorry.
