Re: Keihin PB carb manual choke on ebay
Ok, if you are using a CT manifold (spigot type inlet), you don't even need this adapter. VM18 is already a spigot type carb. I think the OKO (PWK) carb is also a spigot type. This adapter is only if you want to go from a spigot carb to a flange manifold (aero 80). Hope this clears it up. Now, if TJ...

Re: Keihin PB carb manual choke on ebay
I am not really sure, if the round part clamps into the lets say for instant the CT manifold then the carb bolts on to your adapter then maybe. I think they make a manifold that has the bottom part and reeds like the CT but the top part has the manifold for bolt on carbs verses clamp on rounds Hey ...

Re: Keihin PB carb manual choke on ebay
Aero 80 intake (~$20) , Kitaco adapter (~$35) and Mikuni VM18 carb (~$75) . The VM18 are readily available still new and seems to be easily tuneable. But adding it all up, it's the same as a CT manifold and OKO carb. But maybe, the Mikuni makes the difference in quality?? Oh, I haven't added the Boy...

Re: Keihin PB carb manual choke on ebay
Would this adapter work for a Mikuni VM18 carb and Aero 80 intake?

It notes a 42mm spacing but with a little fudging/drilling, it may fit.

Re: Keihin PB carb manual choke on ebay
Ok, so what is a good carb to get for the money? I don't want to spend $100+ on a crappy carb. I'd want a quality tuneable carb. At least, the PB series has a changeable pilot and main jets. what about adapting the VM series Mikuni carbs? Anything from the Monkey/Z50 world that will work on our scoo...

Re: Keihin PB carb manual choke on ebay
actually, im researching alternative carb/intake/reed setups for my af16e motor build project not the se50 motor. [that might go in the wifeys Spree!] i read with interest on your idea of an nh80 intake and boyesan reed setup. i always like the idea of pulling from other honda parts to upgrade. what...

Re: 87 SE50 motor swap?
Whats your max rpm? Just make a spreadsheet to calculate your speed. You can put in the gear ratio and rpm. Why the 7.1? That's even taller!

I know, good point. I may pick one up very soon! I can sell my motor, trade it or keep it as a spare.

Re: 87 SE50 motor swap?
I decided to just keep my af05 motor. It's harder to find and more satisfying to modify. I like things that are more ummm challenging.. If I get 45 mph, I'll be happy. Also, I'll address my 7500 rpm "wall" I regularly hit. I may be just running slightly lean at WOT. Or it may be normal. It...

87 SE50 motor swap?
I have a stock SE50 and I want to have an 94 on AF16 motor for more speed potential. I hit a wall at about 40-42mph and I want to go faster. I don't want to BBK it since it is only limited to 63cc (short stroke). I have the shorter 11 gears not the 10s. Will it swap in and if so, is there a procedur...
