Re: Porting A Spree Case
are you going to out do the sb50 intake swap? any 44mm mufflers? Is modification of the case necessary for the 48mm kit? I bought a used SB50P carb, intake and reeds. It does offer a small improvement in flow through the intake and the reeds are markedly bigger. Noiseguy had designed a Spree pipe, ...

Re: Porting A Spree Case
Taz, I'm going to be picking up one of your 48mm kits shortly. Is it boost port size/shape any different than the 44mm kit? if it's close, I may just go ahead and shape the port based on the cylinder kit I have. Shame I missed out on the '88 Elite ES that was for sale in Phoenix a few months back, b...

Porting A Spree Case
Is it me, or does the spree case have the most ineffectual boost port ever? I'm prepping FailSpree's original block for buildup with the standard upgrades (SB50 carb/intake/reeds, BBK, gears) and was starting to modify the case to maximise the benefit of these upgrades. Cleaned the flashing out of t...

Re: AF05E crank fits an elite e case
This is a sb50 case (Elite e) not a spree. I understand that your discovery came with a SB50 case. My question was directed toward what version of the Spree case were you trying to put the SB50 crank into? Word on the street is that the '86-'87 cases are bigger inside to allow for a bigger cranksha...

To follow up on that question, are you using the early or late Spree cases?bradthreee wrote:Do you have Spree cases or SB50 cases?

At least five. I'd get one too! Cheaper and less time-consuming than trying to import a Gyro X motor assembly.bradthreee wrote:I know alot of Gyro owners would love to be able to go faster than 30mph. As for how many, who knows?

Re: scooter racing in the northwest pics/video 1st&4th page
The guy that beat me was on a 166cc kitted vespa with full aftermarket suspension. I'm on a 72cc malossi ,stock crank setup. Baka, the bike that beat you is a smallframe Vespa. Largest stock engine displacement on those motors was 121cc (called 125s) and the biggest, baddest setup for those motors ...

Re: Elite "E" parts common with "94 Elite SR?
The Elite E is the SB50P. It's kin to the Spree, with the non-variated AF05E. The body panels are similar in appearance, but physically smaller than the Elite S and SR models.

Re: Another Spree Case Cracking Tool!
A steering wheel puller works the same way, just a FYI. Yeah, I saw d3m0nk1d 's how-to on that. Didn't have a steering-wheel puller or old variator rollers lying around, but I did have this tool. Figured I'd throw it out there for anyone who didn't have a steering wheel puller but did have moped fr...

Re: SB50P Hard to Start
Brad, you did think correctly. If you pull the adjuster screw and blow cleaner through the brass tube, it will come out the venturi port in a decent stream.bradthreee wrote: Sorry ,
I thought you meant the thin brass tube that runs parallel with the main tube that holds the main jet.

Re: Honda elite 80 variator questions with pictures
Anyone happen to know the size and weight of the ch80 rollers? Ask for rollers at your local scooter shop, bring an old one for reference. They're the same dimensionally as several of the GY6 clone motors. I think they interchangable with the Genuine Buddys. Stock roller weight is 10g. The engine w...
