Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

I live in a town with a bunch of hills and I am curious as to if I could put a variator on my Spree to help with that. I have a friend that I ride with who has a Pal and he leaves me in the dust on the hills. I am hoping to step up my game and maybe acceleration a little bit. Any recommendations?

I was riding around today and on one stretch of flat ground I got my ol Spreezie up to 39mph. All stock. I am pretty pleased.

Do you have to pre-mix once you put in a BBK or will oil injector suffice and do that for you?

It's a honda spree made to go 30 + mph. Just a nice fun bike to ride. Why would you want to spend a lot of money on it to make it go only 8 mph faster. I am wanting to put a 48mm BBK in my '87. But I want to know if there are any negative side effects of doing so. Also, do I need to get anything else to go along with it, like gears or anything? If so, where would be a good place to find those parts?

I have found two bore kits online, One being a 44mm and the other a 48mm. Will they both work for the Spree and what is the difference, as far as power, between the two? The 48mm is $145.
