Re: Elite Kickstart Assembly, anybody have any detailed pict
My half moon gear has a weld or something on the 2nd tooth (from the start of the worm gear) so that when the kickstart is pulled back to its resting position by the spring the stop on the case where the half moon gear hits is actually 1/2in from resting. Is the half moon gear supposed to have a wel...

Re: Honda Spree Belt Replacment
I removed the driven face gear from the crankshaft by wedging a wrench between the case and the gear to hold it. Once the nut is off pay attention to how all washers are oriented, then remove the gear. I found that it is easier than removing the clutch (requires special tool, homemade tool, or an oi...

Re: No Title Spree Problems...
Thanks for the info, yeah I definitely agree the registration and title are worthy investments opposite the fees I would pay in tickets. I dont ride that often and take mainly backroads for the time being. I will title it once I get paid again since it increases the value

Re: Pacific Northwest Area
Portland OR / Vancouver WA is where I reside, and it is Beautiful here. Our winters get snowy about every 3 years, the summers 90-100s at the peak (Aug), and the rain that we get makes for green trees, hills, and clean water. Crime is not that bad here, schools are good, and economy along the northe...

I frequently take trips from Vancouver to Beaverton OR over the west hills and through the zoo. My Portland routes and frankly some of my Vanc...

No Title Spree Problems...
Hey I have an 86 Spree without a title - it has the license plate for Oregon and my buddy owned it before I bought it for $200 because he tore it apart and couldn't put it back together. He was pulled over crossing from Vancouver WA to Portland going over the I-5 bridge on the bike path... The offic...

86 Spree Industrial / Skelly Build...
I have an 86 Spree that I have stripped the Upper & Lower Guage / headlight plastics off of, Stripped the fender, and cut the Rear fairings. They're on my deck today and I am in the process of [60grit to 220grit wet to TSP/dawn soap bath] prepping for flat black rustoleum primer coat. I am plann...

Re: Connecting exhaust piping without welds
Really 5-10 dollars? That isnt too bad - the pipes were cut clean and needs about 2in of linear welds (circular) around the seams. That is probably more cost effective too than using heater hose or some high temp non-rigid flex pipe. Does the stock pipe utilize more backpressure than the 66cc motor ...

Connecting exhaust piping without welds
I have a dilemma - I had been using some 66cc motorized bicycle engine exhaust pipe connected to my stock downpipe, until it failed on me the other day. The welds on the muffler canister from china failed and dropped my can in the street the other day =P. Now I have about 23" of horizontal pipi...

Re: Why wont my spree do over 25-26 mph ?
If maintaining average speeds of 25-30 at full throttle what type of fuel mileage could a stock NQ50 spree range in? I have yet to do a formal test on my mileage... I am running most of my errands at full throttle down back roads or in d*** bike lane. I figured it should be right around 60 MPG but u...

Re: AX24 belt on 88 Elite E
I bought an AX24 about a week ago from CostLess Auto Parts here in Vancouver, WA. It was a Goodyear brand and I had it put through a 'Thickness Caliper?' at the auto parts store before I paid for it. Have it checked for uniformity. Mine was a direct swap to the 86' Spree I ride. I had to clean the p...

Re: Honda Spree/Honda Elite
I see, is it common for SA50 / SE50 (elite?) front forks to be swapped to the SB50 Spree frame? If so do they swap the handlebars (tree?) as well?
