Re: First spill
The problim is when you don't know it is there. I have heard of bikes going down when they didn't there was oil in the road. That is why you can't turn and brake at the same time.

You are right the air filter and air leaks will affect the runing of that small engine big time. I know because I tryed to run mine without the air filter and it didn''t run very good.

Re: First spill

I have never had a problim with the sportster and this is the first time it happen with the spree. I guess I don't know what I did wrong other then making a tur...

Re: First spill
When I took the MSF course they tell you to do all your braking brfore you get into the turn so I shoud know better. They tell you that more of your braking should be done with the front brake but when you are going straight.

Re: Dio top end question
I am saying that a honda spree is made to go 30MPH not 50 or 60. Just not made for it. Just look at the front forks, small brakes, tires. Any thing can be done so why not make the whole bike safe if you want to go that fast on a Honda Spree. It will take some money, but make it safe or you are going...

Re: First spill
The front tire slid on the loose gravel so I think you are right about the rear brake. Sure went down fast.

Re: need help [classic clogged carb - Ed.]
Before you take things apart make sure you are getting a good fuel flow to the carburetor. Seeing it runs good up to 15MPH it sounds like it is not getting enough fuel to run at fulll RPMs. You can do this by taking the fuel line off at the carburetor. Now go up by the front of the seat and you will...

First spill
I don't know if this is the right spot for this or not, if no just let me know? Took the spree out the first time for the season. The roads had a lot of loose gravel on the sides from the winter ice storms. I went to turn into the neighbors driveway and brake . I should know better you don't turn an...

Re: need help [classic clogged carb - Ed.]
I agree on the pluged muffler. I forgot about it but last year bugs built a nest in one of the mufflers and it did the same thing. The tail pipe is very small. That would also be a good place to also look. As I remember the nuts were rusted on the exhust studs so be very careful you don't break the ...
