Re: power jet replacement jets
are they used on larger motors? Or is it just something to add $$ to the price of the carb? they also use these carbs on 4 stroke motors too and other 2stroke motors that can use the power jet because how the motor flows. for ours its way easier to tune without it. and yes less money to spend on pa...

a tight case wont cause the bearing not to spin. did you install just the bearing? or is the bearing on the crank and installed it on the crank?

Re: tuning a se50 variator
look the pipe is your issue! you cant get it to rev past 8500! a stock unrestricted pipe will rev past 9k and mph wise a stock motor with stock 10to1 gears can topout at around 55mph. your no where near that. for one if your gears are stock and your using that light weight and only change it 1 gram ...

Re: power jet replacement jets
still easier to tune the carb without the power jet. if not you have to buy a bunch of needles and different cutaway slides to play with to get it dialed in. there is no advantage of getting that hooked up. only headaches and spending money on extra parts and plugs to tune the carb.

Re: quest for 70mph
I connected the tach onto the trigger wire for the coil. I installed a new crimp end over both wires. I will take a shot of the vari when I get a chance this evening. if its a trail tech vapor gauge your using, you dont connect the wire to anything. it needs to be wrapped around the plug wire near ...

Re: quest for 70mph
something doesnt sound right. if your maxing rpms at 12.3k, with 8.2 gears you should easy see 70+ mph. if your max topspeed is only 65mph then more than likely your max rpms will be around 9700 with those gears. mark your pulley with a sparpie and see how high the belt is riding. if your truely pea...

that tecnigas pipe does make that stock cylinder come alive. you will have to check the trans setup so it will match the pipes needs.

Re: 2000 elite 50S - just bought and have some carb question
leave it tied up. if not you risk seizing the piston. if it was all bone stock and nothing was modded on it then yes untie it. you will need to take the carb off and check what number jet is being used. if it got that black oilish looking thing coming out the exhaust. thats usually way to rich jetti...
