Re: 1986 Honda Spree NQ50
Is the Fuel Line and and Vacuum Tube the same size from the Petcock off the gas tank? Looks like I might have a leak in the Vacuum Tube. Fighting Idle issue's. Can't find any info. on if its the same size as the Fuel Line. Can you post a video with it running? Do you have the stock airbox with good...

Re: fuel vacuum line
Mine does same, tried adding a bulb style primer to the vacuum line to pull suction and that didn’t work. On the afternarket carbs I ‘believe’ that back/engine side has a vacuum line on it. Maybe could add a Y shaped fitting and run a line to the manifold vacuum and also the carb vacuum to pull more...

Re: Honda Red - Spray Paint color
Looks great! Awesome job on the prep and paint; it shows. Thanks, probably could have used a finer grit on a few spots before painting but I got lazy after having to sand off the clear coat and redo the top parts. Now it just needs oem grips again (aftermarket sticks the throttle), petcock cover, w...

Re: Honda Red - Spray Paint color
Thanks! Went with Gloss Pepper Red from Krylon and it looks pretty close. Ended up repainting all the plastics in this color. Can’t attach pictures for whatever reason. Otherwise might be good for reference to have some posted with spray paint color. All that said, if you use krylon gloss after, mak...

Re: Dash pushpin screws
Yeah I bought some the other day from Autozone that are made for Toyotas, they ‘looked’ like the closest match. However they push back out of the hole when tightening. Need two to hold the dash on, and two for the rear plastics. I’ll have to see whats causing them to back out.

Re: 1985 spree - can you prime?
I was having/have the same issue with my 85 (no kickstart). The battery will get run down from the electric start and not crank over. I haven’t tried it yet, but there’s a possibility a small primer bulb can be added to the fuel line prior to the carb. I was considering adding one to the vacuum lin...

Re: Rear Brake Cable
The rear brake cable from ebay does fit and works, granted a bit of a pain having to disconnect the headset to get it connected.

Dash pushpin screws
Anyone know a good replacement for the two pushpin screws that hold the two pieces of the dashboard plastics together?

Re: Self prime vacuum petcock
Update: Removed the vent line and connected a tecumseh primer bulb via hose going up to where the petcock is for easy access. Drained the bowl then primed using the primer bulb, does not work. Maybe the user in the other thread had a different primer bulb or they are made differently now but this on...

Re: Self prime vacuum petcock
Yeah didn’t work. I’ll be trying a tecumseh primer connected the the vent line next. If that doesn’t work, I’ll swap the vacuum one with a regular on/off valve.

Re: Self prime vacuum petcock
Tried connecting a plunger/primer to the vacuum line this afternoon. If I remove the vacuum line from the carb and cover the end with my thumb the primer will open the petcock and allow fuel to flow. However, when the vacuum line is connected to the intake the primer doesn’t open the petcock. Any id...
