Re: Head gasket material and thickness for Spree, Elite
I love the kits you are proposing NG. How often do we instruct to inspect a cylinder and having the gaskets readily available will be amazing. Especially the head gaskets.

Re: Some NOOB questions 86 Spree
I use condiment bottle from th dollar store for final drive gear case sometimes 2 for 1$ and the ones I get are measured out on the side. Or I use an empty Lucas oil additive bottle. I also use a small of amount o the Lucas in the case, it really keeps those gears quiet.

Re: To upjet or not to upjet?
My understanding is you can punch out the extra hole on your intake cover, and then upjet for a little more power in your case I'd leave stuff alone. If its anything like the spree nothing but a better carb setup will get any gains. You let in more air and up jet to compensate but that's all you do...

Re: Excessive oil in top end?
This is a sort of common spree issue. Over long periods of time you get seepage from the oil tank through the pump filling the bottom of the crank case with oil. Pull the motor out of the frame, pull the top end and turn it upside down to drain it. You may not need to ditch the pump it may work just...

You'll bend them less, I'm always bending my spree signal lights, had to reweld the tabs a few times over the years. I think that looks sharp

Re: Spree has spark, compression, and gas. Still won't start
That's exciting! What likely was you issue was the carb was way off on the idle speed and mixture. Follow the manual procedure now to set the mixture and idle speed to spec now that you have it running pretty well.

Wait, so u guys r saying if our 72cc bikes r tuned right, it should b able to go WOT on flat ground for longer than 5-10 minutes, with the temps reaching a point where it no longer increases? Presumably under 400F? Wow, my bike never did that Yup if my malossi mhr aluminium cylinder ran up to 400f ...

Re: Looking for a belt for a Honda NH80/Aero 80
I have had luck with the BX belt on the aero 80 but the length is just a hair long so trans tuning is needed. So lighter rollers and a stiffer centre spring in the driven pulley. It shifts up too quickly with the added length but otherwise works fine. And where no other belts are available this is a...

Re: Spree has spark, compression, and gas. Still won't start
Crank it with the throttle wide open to do compression testing. And try squirting some oil in into the cylinder and see if the numbers come up. Double check the hose connections on the tester. And it only takes a couple psi to blow your finger off of the spark plug hole so its not a great judge of c...

Re: Spree has spark, compression, and gas. Still won't start
Also could have a sheared flywheel key. Id almost pull the air hose off of the carb and try choking the carb there right on the carb with your hand. See if your hand gets wet with fuel. That will tell you its getting fuel to the right place. Now is the battery fully charged? So no remeber right or i...

Patthesoundguy, where are you ordering the stock Dio af18 carb from? Let us know it you see improvement. Did you ever get the header length right on the exhaust? What exhaust did you start with? the Header and pipe i was working with was on my express. I had it figured out pretty good on the stock ...
