I'll have to keep an eye out for them, they are going cheap here.

Re: Going to look @ a Honda Monkey 50 today...Thoughts?
I'd try to get him down a bit, hardtail parts are a bit expensive. If it has the original carb, it might be a good price. I paid $50 for mine. Here's mine I had to sell to buy a car. http://i822.photobucket.com/albums/zz143/zuphilius/Old%20Bikes/f79861872-1.jpg http://i822.photobucket.com/albums/zz1...

Re: 1984 Honda Gyro Build
USPS dropped two boxes today, still waiting on the one I need to put the carb back together. But I got my new front brake cable, I took a chance and got one from a 83-84 Aero 50 NH50MD. It's approximately 2›" too long but the ends are correct and it works great!! Also got my throttle cable rep...

Re: Chinging sound at full throttle
I had that same sound on my Ruckus, the kick start would hang down a bit and chingy-chingy until I pulled it back up.

Re: Gyro starter problem
Okay, I'm a dumbass . I googled reverse spinning starter, read a post from a Ski-Doo forum and found out I put the outer cover on 180┬░ out. I rotated it, put it back in and voila! I now have a working starter and the engine turns over just fine. Thanks for the help Mouse!

Re: Neat pic of spider

Re: Gyro starter problem
When I hit the starter, I get a grinding that sounds like a buzz, then when I let go I hear a clunk, which I assume is the pinion retracting. I do have a fully charged battery running this. This is very irritating, I guess I should have bought a battery to begin with and checked to see if it turned ...

Re: Gyro starter problem
Took another look at the manual, it says CCW viewing the shaft from the end. Mine is going CW?? How is that possible? Wires messed up somewhere? At least I don't have to break the cover open just yet. Time to get the Multimeter out. I did take the starter apart to clean, maybe I got something backwa...

Re: Gyro starter problem
Yeah, the engine rotates freely with the flywheel. Possibly wrong starter? Looks like it never was removed. The starter mounts and meshes with the pinion gear, correct? Maybe the starter is rotating the wrong way somehow? That is the only other solution the manual comes up with.

Gyro starter problem
I got a battery for the Gyro and the starter spins but grinds, sounds like it doesn't engage the starter pinion very well. The engine does not turn with the starter. I pulled the starter and hooked it up and it spins very free, no binding. I can turn the pinion gear easily, but this is all I can see...

Re: Can anyone confirm this is a Honda scooter?
Looks to be a C100 Super Cub with a CT200 rear wheel/sprocket. Or a CT200 with a C100 front fender. What's the VIN? it should be stamped on the L/H side just above where the engine should be. Be aware, these are big money pits. There's a Passport for sale here. Very similar to the Cub. Just one in a...
