Re: 1984 Honda Gyro Build
I cleaned the engine up quite a bit, I am going to clean it more if I have to break the cases. WAYYYY to many crevices for me to get into. It all gets covered up. So that is going in today, and whatever else I can put on that doesn't interfere with putting the carb on and adjustments. It will be bac...

Re: What is the best way to clean the gas tank on a 86 spree?
My Gyro tank had some surface rust that I cleaned by dropping some of these pyramid shape resin pieces used in metal vibrator/tumblers for polishing/rust removal http://i822.photobucket.com/albums/zz143/zuphilius/1984%20Honda%20Gyro/image_2793.jpg Wow. They took the rust right off with me shaking it...

Re: 1984 Honda Gyro Build
Thanks, Sanjuro. It is a basically good starting point for a rebuild. Everything was dusty and of course covered in caked on oil. 97.5% of the parts are there and Honda carries most of the gaskets, o-rings and such. You can even still get some body panels new! I'm thinking of trying to get more powe...

Re: 1984 Honda Gyro Build
Okay, ordered a bunch of parts today, gaskets and o-rings mostly, and my tires and tubes. I promised myself I wasn't going to tear this down any farther than I already have. Oops. http://i822.photobucket.com/albums/zz143/zuphilius/1984%20Honda%20Gyro/100_3192.jpg http://i822.photobucket.com/albums/z...

Re: 1984 Honda Gyro Build
Greetings: You can re-rivet or perhaps tap some threads. Success! I drilled out the rivets, and voila! The insides were so gunked up, I could have soaked it forever and it would not have come clean. So I cleaned it up, tapped the holes and it's good as new. Almost. I need the petcock lever gasket. ...

Re: 1984 Honda Gyro Build
Greetings: An Aero petcock of mine survived a few days' dip in NAPA brand bucket. Still worked. A better option might be to grind off the rivets and dismantle to clean & check for corrosion. You can re-rivet or perhaps tap some threads. Small engine repair shops might carry something you can us...

Re: 1984 Honda Gyro Build
Well, been cleaning things up, waiting for some cash to replace the tires, get a front brake cable and get some carb and tank gaskets. Come across the petcock, the passages for the fuel seem to be clogged. I cleaned them the best I can, but the lever for the on-off is riveted on, so I can't clean it...

Re: Free 48mm Spree BBK contest.(taz)
I'm guessing #23 since that is when they hit port. A guy walks into a bar and sees a there is a midget playing a piano in the corner. He goes up to the bartender and remarks, What's with the guy playing the piano in the corner? The bartender tells him there is a Genie at the end of the bar and he is...
