Re: Exhaust Problems?
Thank you bear. You have proven my point exactly with your response that I would have expected from my 11 year old daughter 4 years ago. I think the agent orange has finally reared its ugly head in your mind. Give it up, and please, please, please, bear, ignore any posts fromCatsailor in the future....

Re: Exhaust Problems?
bear, it is NOT a stock spree. It has a 44mm taz big bore and his stage 2 gear set. I say that on every other post i write about my spree. In fact, it was said in my last post where you gave your common response of check compression. I appreaciate your knowledge and have taken your well thought out ...

Re: Exhaust Problems?
Strange Update. After the loud pipe cooled down, I re-installed my old exhaust. She now seems to be running fine. Does not get up to 38 mph as fast as the other exhaust, but gets there pretty quick. I filled the tank and took a 38 mile ride with no problems at all (except for some a**hole passing me...

Exhaust Problems?
I have been having major power loss issues on my 84 spree. Compression is good (118), carb has been cleaned a bazillion times, and exhaust has been blown out with high pressure air in both directions. Last winter I did a lye dip of the exhaust and the mud that came out was amazing. Each time I do my...

Re: frankenstein
Very Nice. Some old school ape hangers tilted back might look pretty hot. Also help with body position as a result of the stretch. I like it as much as the express you just built. You have a killer mind, not to mention talent. Keep them coming.

I really like the look of those stock headlights. Prefer them over modified headlights. Where did you order them from? i would love a set like that on my spree.

Re: CL Find. Should I get?
Is it easy to get parts for the Aero 80 motor? Upgrades? Would imagine if it has low compression, i would have to do rings at the least, or a whole top end rebuild. Does Taz have a kit for this? He also said that the door for the tool compartment was missing. Is that like the dreaded petcock cover o...

CL Find. Should I get?
http://providence.craigslist.org/mcy/1986706688.html I am going to look at this tomorrow morning. Owner says that it has lost compression. Up to now I have only thought about the spree. Can anyone tell me about this one? Seems like a good deal. Front fender is cracked but otherwise all plastics are ...

loosing power on spree
My 84 spree with a Taz big bore all of a sudden lost power. After 2000 miles I figured it was the plug, so I changed it. New plug did nothing. Cleaned carb, reeds, and sent high preasure air through the exhaust. I also cleaned the air filter. She ran as she usually does (35+mph with lots of power) f...

Re: What is the biggest size tire I can put on a spree
I have 3.0 on front and back. Fit easy on front but the rear bottom of the fender rubs when breaking. It has worn 2 small holes in the bottom of fender, and the rubbing has gone away. If you are not going to put on the stock spree fender, i would think you should be able to put on a 3.5's. Whitewall...
