Re: Best Bang for the Buck, the mods begin
So you can take a stock 50p and on a street that is only a slight down hill, go from about 25 to about 45 and only buy one jet and a variator that was under $40. And now I can pretty comfortably run with the traffic on the main street where all the shopping is near me. The street is 45mph speed limi...

Re: Best Bang for the Buck, the mods begin

Re: Best Bang for the Buck, the mods begin
The tires are very close to the same profile as the tires that I took off. Haven't noticed any difference in speed. but the ride is much smoother. I ordered the 3.00 tires, The 90X90 in the same tire was about $6 more and I just didn't see paying more for something that was going to be such a small ...

Let all of us know what you find when you take the old tubes out and how the nuts are installed in your rims! What kind of tires did you buy?

Re: How important is the SEF ramp?
I'm kinda * at the seller, it took him a week to get it shipped. Maybe he didn't have the part and had to order it. I may not get it in time to install before I leave going to work out of town for 2 months. I guess I can get the wife to ship it to me and put it on in the hotel parking lot

Re: Best Bang for the Buck, the mods begin
Someone asked me a question about the yellow dot. That is the lightest point on the tire. YEP the manufacturer weighs them and checks balance before they leave the factory. That's why you line up the yellow dot next to the valve stem which is the heaviest point on the rim. This will give you the clo...

I'll give other people a chance to check it before I tell you how stupid I am lol And YES I had the wheel back on the bike and pulled the tube from the front wheel before I caught my mistake

Re: Best Bang for the Buck, the mods begin
My scoot had 170 miles but the tires were cracked and needed to be replaced. Ron Ayers sent me 2 Kenda 3.00 tires and IRC tubes to my door for $58. The rear wheel was hard to get off. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/tt246/alexintenn/Scooter/rustyspline.jpg This got some grease when the wheel went...
