I would go back and look at the exhaust port. It doesn't take much carbon to severely limit engine performance.

Better check for intake air leak.

Check for a fuel restriction before the carb.

Not a SB 50 engine. One has a 39mm piston and the other a 47 or 48mm piston. 50cc vs 65 or 72cc

I use the purple cleaner (used to be Castrol Superclean). You can get it at Wally World for under 5 clams. Use your room mates tooth brush and rinse well with water.

When you cranked the engine with your fingers over the carb, did you have any vacuum?
