Re: Honda Elite Sb50p Carb Issues

Your needle valve is stuck open and the fuel is comming out of the vent. Remove the bowl and clean the needle valve and check for proper fuel level.

Re: 2001 Honda Elite Spark Issues.

Put the old coil back in and see what happens. Are you sure you didn't get a wire crossed somewhere?

Re: 2003 elite won't go over 35 mph

First things first, find and remove the spring from the crankcase. Drain the oil and remove the filter screen. Get a magnet and see if you can find it. Your problem is most likely a worn belt and or flat spotted rollers in the cvt. Find the spring before you damage something else!

Re: stuck screws.

Dust-it speaks the truth. I have a special phillips head for those difficult pains in the butt. I also like a nice propane torch when you have the space. A little heat and when it cools it comes right out. PB Blaster is the ticket for rusty screw/bolt removal.

Unless you have installed a BBK why would you do that?

Re: very noob question

"few drops of oil in the plug hole." ????????

No oil the first go round. If after you add a few drops the compression goes up, your rings are toast.

Re: Yet another Spree Muffler cleaning question . . .

Chemical is easy and inexpensive at the same time. It just takes a few days of flipping and flopping and a good rinse. Good old fashioned liquid plumber type stuff. One qt does the trick.

Re: were can i get oil cheep

I can get GN2 for 6.99 at the honda dealer. I have used marine tcw-3 with no noticable effects. When you go to the auto parts stores they all tell you to use tcw-3 because it says on the container it can be used in air or water cooled 2 stroke engines.

Re: tuning a se50 variator

I am wondering if the 3.5x10 is having an effect on your top rpm. If you put a 90/90/10 on you might change your power band and top rpm. I think your reed theory has some merit also. Have you tried down jetting just a bit?

Re: 87 Spree stuck open throttle

You probably don't have the slide installed correctly. The long slot faces the engine and the one on the other side adjusts your idle speed. I would remove the cable nut on top of the carb and inspect it for proper fit. You will feel it when it goes in correct.

Re: Spark Plug trouble

You need a bpr6hsa per the manual. The Autolite 4123 is a direct replacement for that plug. I would return the plug you got and get either a new bpr6hsa or a 4123 autolite.
