Castor 927 arrived today

Is it okay to start running it through the engine now that i have 100 miles on it using the GN2?

before you start leaning out the main jet, what do you have the needle setting at and air fuel screw setting at? also what airfilter are you using? Needle setting is one notch up from middle A/F i'm unsure of. I just turned the idle speed way up and turned the a/f screw in and out til it was runnin...

Get the 21mm OKO and CT Manifold. Also get a roller kit of assorted weights for your variator. Got a 100 from Honda today

Lots better than the 103, however still very slightly rich. I believe a 98 will be the ticket!

Klotz r50 or benol is a good one too or any oil that has castor oil in it. That gn2 is to thin Umm so the castor 927 is thicker and this will make the engine run leaner or richer with the same jets compared to the GN2? Cause right past 1/2 throttle it starts bogging a tad. Its worse with the 105 vs...

Is it alright to run until i get the castor 927? Should be here in about 6 days or so.

Still not going over half throttle and not going past 35

Even if you leave the plastics off, just a couple rattle-can coats of matte or gloss black makes it look a heck of a lot cleaner

Alright, thanks baka. I'll try to find some around here. I dont want to have to order it and wait for a week to get it.

Right now i'm running Honda GN2. If i cant find the castor stuff i'll try some of the race oil Garvis Honda has on their shelf instead

If your having problems with partial throttle then try adjusting the needle setting before messing with the jet. I wish i could. When the clip is on the middle setting it bogs and loses power right at 30-35. It loves the clip being 1 up from the middle, i just need to get the temps down to a reason...

I like the temps better with the 105, although very mild signs of bogging and loss of power happen around 1/2 throttle once again. Back to the 103

I dont like the temps with it, so im gonna bump the pilot up to a 45 to see if that'll cool it off a bit more

I put the 42 back in, but haven't gotten the chance to see if it fixes the problem. I was scared off by the cylinder heads temps reading over 330F at around 35

When i did a comp test i just un-did the hose clamp connecting the carb to the intake( gotta pull the carb off it too) and then tried. That way you dont need to open the throttle and you can just kick it.

New settings, it was bogging and losing power right around 30-35 40, 103 Clip 1 up from middle B9HS plug Although now there is another problem. When its cooling down at a stop light it'll drop from around 290 to 260. Then when i try to take off again it will bog and lose power. I have to rev it a co...
