Re: Just got a 1996 yamaha jog
I have a 97 jog. I run the 47mm race kit from here - http://www.strokeitimports.com/stroke%20it%20imports%20home.htm The guy ported/polished it for me for about 30-40$ extra. Great work, awesome performance. I also have the LeoVince ZX pipe, Jog 90 belt, Stock crank, 19mm arreche carb with a 95 main...

Re: My Aero 50 with New DAYTONA Temperature Gauge Installed!
Temperature gauge, new carb and filter look terrific, but the scooter will always suck my eyes back. Nice pics, great reflections! BTW - The photo on the Daytona box shows the gauge indicating 614 deg C. Thats's 1137F, so I'm thinking that gauge may reach up into EGT temps. Does the manual state th...

Re: Horrible MPG
I gained atleast 5-10 more mpg with the 95 jet vs the 100 jet. Did a wheelie from a stop-n-go light. I was scared I would drop the jog! :nervous: It rode smooth for awhile, then it started to choke from a stop... When I would try to accelerate from a dead stop it would take a second or two before it...

Re: Horrible MPG
oh!!! puppy bear again with the B.S. What you spew isn't even qualified to be called BS because you have nothing like what even a neutered bull has. Lets not "Flame-bear-on-every-dang-thread". I just fixed how my exhaust rests into the exhaust port flange, and put the 95 screw in. Drove i...

Its for a jog.

Re: Horrible MPG
My goals are to hit atleast 70mph. I want it to be quick in acceleration without losing any mid/top end. MPG is my sacrifice right now. I do have a 28mm koso carb with powerjet for when I want to really mess with it :2thumbs: Unless you have the kind of power a Top Fuel Dragster has or a Funny Car,...

Re: Horrible MPG
I never had the chance to fine tune it. I took the 70 kit off and and sold the Jog. I plan on putting the 70 on my Zuma though eventually. I'll be watching to see how your tuning turns out. :thumbwink: Oh alright :D My goals are to hit atleast 70mph. I want it to be quick in acceleration without lo...

Yeah I plan on buying my tuning springs and stuff from provo.Gingerbread Man wrote:30mpg is roughly what my Jog was getting with similar set up but with the stock carburetor 44 pilot, 115 main during break in. Provoscooter.com has some good parts.
After break in what did you switch to?

Re: Horrible MPG
We could/should spend some time here looking for contributing factors to poor economy. One thing to look at are production larger two stroke scooters. Bear's 80 and 125 cc scooters are no doubt getting better than 30mpg :thumbwink: Here's one idea: Tuned pipes, when run below their design rpm point...
