ok so ive put together an 87 spree pulled everything apart cleaned sandblasted the engine cleaned up and ported the intake on the case and reed matched the intake tube along with that i used a 89 elite upper end ive checked compression which came out good i checked to make sure the timing was right ...

So I'm having trouble on the new 87 running compression is good spark is there and have fuel I have an 89 elite e top end it seems like it tries to start but its a no go. I now bow to the collective of minds for help!
