Re: Heat creep

Should be able to run WOT and it should even out, creeping means it lean or not getting enough airflow or both. The fan should keep it cool enough as long as all of the shrouds are in place. My Dio af18 with the arrow copy pipe and big carb maxed out at 325F

Re: Spree has spark, compression, and gas. Still won't start

ok if you choked the airbox inlets while cranking and it did not start, you have issues. good chance there is no fuel getting to the carb or it has very very low compression. Don't worry about the oil pump at this point just get it to run and maybe put a few cap fulls of oil in the tank and shake it...

Re: Getting the Tazland BBK, GEARS, + MLM ran on a dyno

TEMPS? What was the temperature doing on that epic 40mph run? My cht always showed that the heat would fly off the charts after 30mph for even just a few seconds at wot. One time when it soft seized, the temp on the cht actually kept climbing even after it had shut off for about 5 seconds. Sure, ge...

Re: First time buying new tires for Honda Spree

make sure the inside of the wheels are completely clean and rust free before you put the tires and tubes on. Wire brush the insides of the wheels wash with soapy water and dry with a hair drier. paint the insides and let the paint dry for about a day before you mount the tires. The tires will go on ...

Re: NEWBEE with a 86 NG50/Spree

you can even start a spree with a 5 amp battery charger as the battery is only 4 amps so any standard battery charger that is not a digital one over 4 amps should do it. I do that in the shop all the time with the spree. when checking for spark you can make an easy spark tester with a piece of solid...

Re: Areo/NH80 Top performance upgrades

Replace the centre spring in the driven pulley with a yellow malossi spring for a dio. And a better carb should wake that thing right up. The ct manifolds and similar bolt right on. Send the cylinder off to get proper porting done would be another great improvement . The name of the game here is mor...

Re: 1985 Aero 80 (Rare 1 year made) Quit Running

You should get a bunch more top end with the carb setup. The flow on the aero 80 is very conservative. I've had mine up to near 55 on a downhill and it's pretty apparent that some better flow will get some more revs. There is an article where someone used a 24mm carb and got lots more get up and go....

Re: Aero 50 "shifts" hard when accelerating from a stop

Take the clutch out and have a look at it. I had the retaining nut come off of my aero 80 clutch and it behaved like the springs were worn out or broken. Good thing I diddnt drive it for very long like that, I diddnt have any damage.

Re: 1985 Aero 80 (Rare 1 year made) Quit Running

If the reeds are toast you can have a wet plug and rich symtoms. If the reeds are toast hi ust get a set of boyesen 740 reeds and life will go on. If the flywheel key is sheared you should be able to see with the flywheel nut off. Try a new spark plug if you haven't already. I have had bad plugs on ...
