reed options for ct intake

havent seen many threads on this. I noticed that dio speed demon modified some cr125 boysen reeds to work in his ct manifold. Is this the best bet? Wont boysen make you a set of reeds if you send them the reeds? What are the options? http://www.youtube.com/user/DIOSpeedDem ... TGQ5msO1-o
Maddog is an OG. You have to respect anyone who has been into scooters as long as he has. I agree that alot of his responses rub people the wrong way, but if you sift through the arrogant BS, Maddog Has alot of knowledge. So Maddog, Why don't vacuum boost bottles work?
Youll have to ...

Re: Flash 4.1: Ignition And Lift-Off

I had a 60 pilot in my bike at one time when i was trying to figure out a problem and the bike still ran ok though rea...

Re: 2000 centerspring Elite S trans.

What im getting at is whats the purpose of going to a stiffer center spring? If one can just change variator weights for the same effect. The only thing i can think of is the center spring helps pull the belt lower on the variator when rpms are falling due to climbing a hill for example. And the wei...

Re: 2000 centerspring Elite S trans.

Ok thanks im getting a better understanding now.

So they both start moving at the same time. But once the rear driven face is completely open does the belt continue so ride up a little more on the variator? (i realize this would only happen if there is enough slack in the belt)

Re: 2000 centerspring Elite S trans.

Does the variator and the rear driven face "shift" at the same time? Meaning if the rear is opening up does that automatically mean that the variator is shifting as well? Or can the variator and driven face be tuned so the driven face opens completely then the variator will start to move.

2000 centerspring Elite S trans.

Is a 2000 center spring too stiff? Will it lead to a broken rear driven face? I am currently running a 1500 and i noticed running it on the stand with 3000 rpm grabbers the rear driven face is already starting starting to open berfore the clutch even engages. I would like to improve my takeoff but i...

Re: Chinging sound at full throttle

If the other stuff mentioned in this thread doesnt work. take off your pg long and shake it and see if anything is rattling around in the pipe. my pg long has very few miles on it and there is already something rattling around inside. Ive just been too lazy to cut it open to see what it is. sucks ha...

Re: heres one for you...

Ya i hear you. i dont care for the motor sitting there either. though the rd 350 motor on the lambretta is under the panels. id really like to see how they did the lambretta. i also like the idea of keeping foot position in a more stock/scooter location
