Things are getting pretty ugly here. Sadly, rent is not always cheaper. The price of homes has dropped like a rock so if you have the credit to get into one the payments can be pretty reasonable. On the other hand with all the forclosures the demand for rentals is very strong. The cost of rent has n...

It doesn't snow much and doesn't stay on the ground for long. I did have snow on the ground for almost a month one time several years ago. We are at the altitude where if you go a few hundred feet higher you get quite a bit of snow and a few hundred feet lower hardly any. In any case it's been blood...

A couple of issues. The weather has been a little rough, kind of cool, rain and snow etc. The second is that I'm in the middle of a bit of a relapse of my CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome). I've been getting just about nothing done on anything. The weather is expected to get a little better and hopeful...

The Sprees came with two sizes of main jet, 65 and 68. Try going to the 68. Stalling after running ten minutes suggests it might be "soft siezing", running a bit lean and sticking the piston. This is a warning that you are getting close to a "hard sieze", melting the piston to th...

Good deal! Welcome to the next level of tuning and modifications. The cold air can keep the engine from coming up to temp. You can experiment with covering some of the cooling air intake. Having a cylinder head temp gauge is also handy.

Look in the advanced tech documents for Jennings "two stroke tuners handbook". It is the best source for two stroke pipe information. Not too hard to read and full of really good stuff. How good is it? An original, if you can find one, goes for about $100.

My experience is that the counter guys are pretty helpful if you go in with the old belt and explain what you are trying to do. It's just hard to get terribly creative over the phone.

Go with 24. A shorter belt will ride lower in the back giving you more top speed.

The Spree doesn't really have front shocks. Just a spring in a tube with a rubber bump stop. This is one of the reasons they are interesting when you get them to go fast. The rear does have a damper. It seems to be nonfunctional on mine. This makes it really interesting when going fast. It's a lot l...

I've used non-cog belts. Even the premium brands just don't last very long. The cogged belts turn around the small pulleys much better with less drag and heat build up. With the stock size being 628mm long you could go to a shorter belt, around 610 or so. 628mm is 24.72" so a 24" belt shou...

One of the keys to using the Permatex is to make the coating incredibly thin. So thin you can see through it. So thin you can't get it any thinner. On my big ugly truck I had chronic overheading problem. Finally took the top off of the radiator and discovered it was full of blue silicone worms. The ...

Hello, I will try to decode your cryptic message. If you take the back pulley apart and install washers to hold the two halves farther apart a couple of things will happen. First, the belt will ride lower. This will have the effect of raising the drive ratio and increasing your top speed as long as ...
