I was wayy off! I found a posting of the spree production figures and found my posting of what this guy paid for his spree new. "I just purchased an 86 red/white spree with only 1,400 miles on it from the original owner. He had every reciept he ever had for it. EVEN THE ORIGINAL SALES RECIEPT F...

$1,200 in 86. I know this because i had the original sales recipt and title to my last spree from the original owner. This price was in detroit, mi area. Not sure though across the US.

Thats what i thought till i bought a compression tester and it read 92psi and if a wire was shorted you would not be getting spark! Good gas, blue spark, and good compression it should go pop.

Whats your compression reading? 120psi MINIMUM. I learned this the hard way an got an earfull from the one an only BEAR! Anything less and you need to pull off the cylinder to see whats causing the low compression issue.
