Re: 1987 Honda Elite SE50 Derestricting

Mods are: Keli variator and speed pulley with 6, 7g weights, 84 main jet, and Technigas pipe. Pretty happy with that.

Next up, 1000 or 1500 clutch springs and contra A.S. required.

Re: Milling Spree Head

Ok, I'll go that route. I do have SB50 cages as well that I got with the intakes. I will use the known good reeds that are currently on the bike (85') and transfer them to the SB50 cages . Thanks for all the help. As any new addiction, I'm learning the nuances here. I'm fully capable of doing all th...

Re: Milling Spree Head

Looks like the reeds and gaskets I planned to buy won't be available until noiseguy returns from vacation, anyone know where I can get new reeds and gaskets relatively quickly? I will be tapping the SB50 intakes for the oil line I got tomorrow and would like to get them installed I have the reeds th...

Re: Milling Spree Head

That's exactly what I am looking for more overall pull to speed, if I get 2-3mph top speed with the milling and the SB50 reeds that would be beyond expectations. That would pull me into the low 40's on level ground on the bike with the speed pulley. When I swap I am changing the springs and have a b...

Re: 1987 Honda Elite SE50 Derestricting

Yeah, I know how to get to it. I am going to try it stock, then proceed after that, thanks for sharing your experience. If mine does the same I will know which direction to go!

Re: Milling Spree Head

I agree 100%, the speed pulley is not good for a guy my size, so most likely I’ll end up with one of each, to be honest, I’m betting I end up in the 37’ish range with the work I’m doing and the 13T, MLM, piston, reeds, intake, milling etc., and be more tolerable off the line. Keep in mind the wife a...

Re: Milling Spree Head

I’m gonna pin that speedo on flat ground one way or the other :)

Even if I have to drill out an “intake hole” in the intake side of the piston and up-jet. That’s an OLD one...

Re: Milling Spree Head

It will be interesting to see how this one runs with the 13 T instead of the speed pulley, SB50 reeds and intake came today, guess we will see how good my tapping skills are to plumb it for oil.
