Re: The Daily Chat

Random thought: I need to upgrade my profile pics... as I don't have that sweet 89E anymore :( Hmm... too bad I can't upgrade my profile name too. ;) <but I wouldn't know what to change it too  > I thought I was always gonna keep her o.O but that's alright... she went to a good home; and it st...

Re: The Daily Chat

^nice find Mike, thanks for sharing and please keep us updated on your restoration, I'd be one who'd be interested in following on that journey. :) You refer to the CB 350 F in this thread...and I will snap a pic of it as it exists now, as soon as I get the chance to see it. The new owner is in mid...

Re: 1987 honda elite - (ed: noise when brakes applied)

it depends on what exactly is making the noise itself... most times a piece of rubber or foam strategically placed will be of help :) When I had my 89E, I had a similar problem, my kickstand made noise whenever I hit a bump... I traced the sound to the kickstand bouncing off the spring... after I fo...

Re: Bent motor/suspension mount?

Hi! :) We will need more info to help with a correct diagnosis... IMO I'd start checking: bent rim mounting areas to the frame (engine mount/ shock mount) ^do you see any signs that these were modified? Some modifications when done improperly will cause misalignment. I would also check to see if the...

Re: Plunger front suspension, disk brake? Cheap solution?

This would be called the 'disc brake' upgrade that a lot of people want. Here in Hawaii, most of the disc brake upgrades are down with a swap from the disc brakes of a Sym DD50 front end. Unsure of what exact amount of fabrication that needs to be done to make this swap work. It is usually the tripl...
