Nominees: Best Scooter Restoration of 2009

Post by Wheelman-111 »

Greetings:

This category is for all the Pebble Beach Restorations out there. Anyone (with money) can find/buy the basic parts, but extra points the amount of work performed as well as overall attractiveness of the outcome. Concours-class stock paint schemes as well as custom colors and themes are included.

So post your nominees, preferably with pics so people can see what they're judging. Nominees must belong to a Forum member, even if it's not your own scoot. To keep this managable, I'll impose a limit of 3 "Before" pics and 5 pics of the finished product. I'll add a poll at the end of the month, and Forum voting will decide the winner on January 25, 2010.

I'll see what response this gets. If there's enough interest, the winners of all three categories will be submitted for "Best Scooter of 2010" Overall Winner.

PLEASE give your Scooter nominee a name and tell who's the builder. Unless you want Wheelman to name it. :nervous: (May I suggest The OCD Aero for the one below? :) )

Remember this thread is for nominations only. This isn't where we get to vote, that 'll be in a Poll at the end of the month, so once a scooter is nominated, there's no need to "second" it.

If duplicates appear, I will delete all except that I feel is the best post/best pics. Posts like "Yeah, I agree..." will just clutter up the place and will be deleted unless they add value in MY opinion. Forumistas who disagree should start their own threads. :)

I intend to use good judgement, but I imagine these threads as concise, concentrated eye candy. I don't want clutter. Let's see how this goes...

POLL ADDED

If Nominees are added, I will modify the Poll to include them.

i am so flattered, too! :coolcruise:
wow, my OCD finally paid off! ** much thanks and appreciations to all who have posted up or replied kind words or encouragement. ** -and i thought i was the only one who took my Honda scooter "hobby" so seriously; i kinda thought i was "still stuck in the 5th grade" preferring to ride my Aero any day over a car or motorcycle!

thanks again, guys... jon :woot:

Quag's Canadian Christmas Present: 1989 SE50

Post by Wheelman-111 »

Greetings:

Just finished reading Quag's Build thread again. I must say from such humble beginnings, an extraordinary outocme for this Classic 1989 Canadian-spec SE50.

Lots of challenges were overcome by first-hand thoughtfully executed hard work. The fact that it was all for someone else gives it even more merit. Christmas-y color theme too. Congratulations!

Read all about it here:

PS: Stick a big red Maple Leaf on there, Q! :thumbwink:
