Re: Honda Spree/Honda Elite
the frame and body on the elite 50 is larger and the the engine on the elite 50 is a true cvt trans vs a fixed on the spree.

Ok I was thinking about looking for a different moped to ride because the spree is kind of small and dose not go very fast.

Don't forget the Elite E. It is transitional and still has non-variator drive train.bakaracer wrote:the frame and body on the elite 50 is larger and the the engine on the elite 50 is a true cvt trans vs a fixed on the spree.

Thats not called an elite 50.The only one thats called an elite 50 is the 87.Lunytune wrote:Don't forget the Elite E. Re: Honda Spree/Honda Elite
don't forget it's called, an elite e. and it came out in. 87. elite e 87. and that it's 50cc's. how you call the engine. so elite e. and none, are called 50 unless you say the size. there is 150 250 and maybe then 125, and 50. but you don't call it that unless your not talking about a 50cc moped.. and your not going to call it 150 if your talking about the 50. so what moped are you talking about. if it's 150 then it probably goes pretty fasbakaracer wrote:Thats not called an elite 50.The only one thats called an elite 50 is the 87.Lunytune wrote:Don't forget the Elite E. Re: Honda Spree/Honda Elite
I don't believe I've ever heard of an "Elite 50" that was distinct from all the other Elites with 49cc engine. I think you may be referring to the Elite SE50 as it was only marketed in USA in 1987. The Elite SA 50 and Elite SR 50 are also Elite 50's. I just don't want the original poster thinking that all Elites have a variator and make sure he understands that the Elite E is distinctive in the Elite class, being non-CVT.bakaracer wrote:Thats not called an elite 50.The only one thats called an elite 50 is the 87.Lunytune wrote:Don't forget the Elite E. Re: Honda Spree/Honda Elite
Close, the elite E is a 1988-1990 model.trains420 wrote:don't forget it's called, an elite e. and it came out in. 87. elite e 87. and that it's 50cc's. how you call the engine. so elite e.
That depends on what elite you are looking at. Also, your spree is slower than most sprees because of our crap laws here in Iowa. It is restricted from the factory.IowaHondaSpree wrote:Hello all,

Re: Honda Spree/Honda Elite
The reason why I say the 87 is the only one thats called an elite 50 is because all the rest either say elite e ,elite sa50 or spree on the manual and only the 87 elite says elite 50 on the manual.basicly what it comes down to is the 87 is usually refered to as the elite 50 and all the rest are called by the name thats on the bike so if it has elite e on it thats what its called same goes for the spree,lx,s sr and aero. only the 87 has elite on the side and only one of that body style is a 50cc.

Re: Honda Spree/Honda Elite
Are the basic frame layouts the same for the elite e & spree? How about the 94+ elite sr frame designs vs the 86 spree design? I've noticed different front forks (elite vs spree)...
