best tachometer

I know this has been discussed already but there are way too many posts to read to find my answer. What did we decide was the best tach...cost, refresh rate, ease of install etc?

I know a lot of guys like the tiny tach on this board.
I'm interested in this as well, I would like to find a 2 inch analog tach that has a backlight though.

Harbor Freight has a 2" tach but it is for 4,6 and 8 cylinders only, but it is cheap, $24.99.

That tach will work on a 1 cylinder 2 stroke when you have it on the 4 cylinder setting but it will read half your engine RPM. So you will have a 16,000 rpm tach. When the tach says 4,000, your engine will be turning 8,000 RPM.

Tiny Tach it is, 1/2 sec refresh rate, 2-stroke setting, and small. Thanks for replies.

I don't know where he gets the idea that that is a 12,000 RPM tach. It is clearly mark as a 10,000 RPM tach.
