New Honda Aero paint job

Post by edoggdoremus »

finally put all my panels back on after the new paint job. Snapped a quick photo of the right side. Took back off the left side panel to put orange accents on as it looks pretty bland compared to this side (it is just black with a white decal).

Nice looking paint job. What did you use to paint it?

Did you paint the turn signals? They match well.

Went to oregon state university so painted the Aero orange and black to show some alumni pride. I just used rustoleum universal rattle can along with plastic primer for the orange parts, some flaws where I mostly got lazy or wasn't careful, but overall i like the outcome. Going to paint the wheels black, possibly with some orange accents also and then I should finally be done with this dang thing.

Hellz yea, Go Beavs. I think I am going to put the OS or angry beaver logo somewhere on the scoot to make sure people know this isn't no duck fans scooter.... need to get a hold of some orange and black vinyl first.

I love the orange. It's a refreshing summer color. Here's my 85:

That's an awesome looking Spree, really like the custom color on the logo. Makes me wish that I still had my '86.

Took the Aero out for it's first real ride of the season yesterday and had a guy at a stoplight say "That's a sweet looking scooter". I havn't had a compliment on one of my scooters since I use to ride around my old Honda Gyro with the back panels off, a crooked steering column, and a gas can strapped into the front basket.....

Thanks!

I got the logos from 'felospree' on this board. He's selling them in the Wanted section and will make them in any color you want.

Well that paint job didn't last that long. Blew out rear tire today on piece of metal going 35, fishtailed into curb, had it controlled and slowed until i hit a storm drain/huge metal pothole and had to drop the bike or topple over with it. Havn't been that scared since the back end of my Gyro dropped out going 35 downhill and seeing my left rear wheel rolling past me (lugnut came off.....that was a learning lesson in motorcycle maintenance safety)
Scraped up the right side and front fender and somehow when I was hauling it back home in the back of our land rover, a nice 5 " crack appeared smack dab in the middle of the left panel.

Oh well, it will give me something to do tomorrow
