Locking threads...
This is exactly why I'm not a mod any longer! Why are threads discussing business being locked! Let the guys duke it out already!
noiseguy..... This forum will only be better if all things are discussed. If someone is unhappy with service provided then they should be called out!
This will only make service between traders better for the future.
Unreliable sellers on here calling people out to there defense has no merit. One of these particular sellers couldn't have cared less about my business when I dealt with him.
I called him out just like he is calling out others now. He was a coward and never said anything though!
Being too busy is not a valid excuse either. If you sell or trade with someone you should feel like youÔÇÖre the buyer in every situation. What you expect is the service you should offer!
It took three weeks to get a lousy brake cable from a certain seller on here that was sent out incorrectly three times.
I didn't feel he took care of me at all. For others they received much better service from this guy.
Some people get treated better then others on here. I guess it depends on who you are.
Either way I wouldn't buy from that seller again that's for sure and you know who you are!!!
If you donÔÇÖt want us discussing these things, then donÔÇÖt allow people to talk trade on this forum.
Just my two cents..

Re: Locking threads...
i like that there is a thread that says "trustworthy traders."
i understand sometimes people get screwed over(my people are constantly accused of doing it).
i don't like that we start whole threads about individuals.
i personally think we need to start a thread titled "sellers w/ known issues" that way it helps noobs to find the parts they need, and as always w/ anything in life Caveat emptor with certain traders.
i personally haven't run into any snags yet. and i have stated that there are several people i would ship to w/o receiving payment because i trust them so much that i know they'd send it when they got the extra cash.

Re: Locking threads...
I vote for a Feedback section under the Wanted / For Sale category. That way people can post their experiences on the fly. Perhaps even a dispute section.

Re: Locking threads...
I have expressed in the past that this forum would benefit from having an integrated auction site for sellers/buyers. A good feedback system would help take care of many of these issues.

Re: Locking threads...
Ugg. You know what I think? People selling stuff on this board are the cause of 95% of the problems I hear about, and 100% of the really ugly fights and user bans. Someone ripping someone else off, etc. I've got several PMs and emails from the last year that would peel paint, each one roots back to some effing part that may or may not have ever existed, that may or may not have been paid for, and may or may not have shipped.
If there's a user feedback mod for phpBB3, by all means send it along. I haven't been able to find one yet.

Re: Locking threads...
The only thing I've seen is a section for feedback and an individual thread for each member in that section.noiseguy wrote:If there's a user feedback mod for phpBB3, by all means send it along. I haven't been able to find one yet.

Re: Locking threads...
Why not let it rest boys? This is not a auction site. We are lucky noiseguy tolerates the involved with wtb/wts posts and the server space they occupy. if you want the peace of mind Ebay has a great feedback system. Why not use it?? As for the thread lock, i don't know what the particular issues at hand are, and i don't care. If you get seriously butt-hurt over something on the internet, you should be medicated. Or not use the internet. Or learn to quip back with something other than insatiable whining. Or learn to ignore people.noiseguy wrote:Ugg. You know what I think? Don't get me wrong, there is a place for locking of threads. When that point is reached, not all involved parties will be happy. But in all reality, life's never gonna treat you with kid gloves. Suck it up.
And dispite the abrasivness of some forum members, the same users may have just the answer you're looking for.

An ugly and hard to use solution. It has to be cleaner than that.eliteguy50 wrote:The only thing I've seen is a section for feedback and an individual thread for each member in that section.noiseguy wrote:If there's a user feedback mod for phpBB3, by all means send it along. There we go... that's what I was looking for. It's been around since last April? That's probably the last time I checked for something.CharlotteSpreeRider wrote:I'll look around for you. So far only found this:noiseguy wrote:An ugly and hard to use solution. It has to be cleaner than that.

SimpleMachines BB has had one for awhile. It's about time someone created a phpBB3 version.
